Because both sold 100k+ Last week (From famitsu). Which both the PS4 and Vita could not do this week. 

 

Take a look at the graph by shadow above.  It shows 8th gen home console sales by the year.  PS4 has been out 2 years and both of them it soundly finished on top.  Winning 2 weeks at Christmas is all well and good but I think winning the year is what's important.  

 

Ps4 is dominating home console hardware and software sales. The 3DS is dominating the handheld side.  so everybody is happy.
