Take a look at the graph by shadow above.  It shows 8th gen home console sales by the year.  PS4 has been out 2 years and both of them it soundly finished on top.  Winning 2 weeks at Christmas is all well and good but I think winning the year is what's important.  

 

Ps4 is dominating home console hardware and software sales. The 3DS is dominating the handheld side.  so everybody is happy.  

 

Well the person was asking why the Wii U and 3DS didn't increase this week. The obvious answer is they sold sooo much on the week before. If he/she was expecting the Wii U to do another 100k+ this week and beat the PS4 and Vita again then WOW. He/she surely does believe the Wii U will be a success.
