As for my unpopular opinions:

Screw graphics, get gameplay! You want nice visuals? Go bing some high-res images. As a matter of fact, here. Stare at these: http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=high-res+images&FORM=HDRSC2

On a related note, GTA San Andreas is the best GTA ever. GTAs afterward got better graphics but sadly the gameplay just went downhill. GTA 5's missions were braindead. No R*, I don't really give a shit about your story.

I don't hate Konami that much, they're just a business which recently axed financially risky projects.

I hate it when users on this site think throwing money towards marketing can solve any problem. Game not selling a million copies? Put commercials on television! Now the game will be successful! Hooray! Put marketing money towards further developing and refining the game so that it's even more awesome? No! Buy commercial time so that sales will reach an arbitrary milestone!

The Wii wasn't too weak, it was just too successful for its own good.

We need pointers like the Wiimote and the PSMove to make a comeback. They're great for aiming. Alternatively, more shooters need to implement Splatoon's gyro-aiming. Using the stick for aiming is painful now.

Of course the PS4 has over 50% of the market: they spend more than anyone else on marketing their console and even spend to advertise third-party games on their platform. Hate how they got in bed with EA to sell the new SW Battlefront game. New Battlefront is an insult to the old ones.

The shape of the X1's console is lame: it's just a freaking box. Should have gone for something like the PS4's shape which makes the PS4 look aerodynamic and sleek. It actually does make it aerodynamic, haha.

At first I hated the big lights on the PS4 controllers but after seeing the light bar decals people made, I NEED a big light bar on my next controller. That shit looks awesome!

TLoU's opening sequence was amazing but I've always felt Sarah's death was sort of cheap.

Oh, and I can't stand soccer.

Final Fantasy VII is the least good out of the PS1 Final Fantasy's.

Gears of War games are some of the ugliest AAA games that came out during the previous console generation. Their visual design is just horrendous, especially the character design is just atrocious.

That Sony's push towards "cinematic" games is a cancer that is degrading gaming as a medium.

Not true. Just confirmation bias. I've seen plenty of people make fun of people who buy Madden and especially Fifa. Seems to me that you like COD but not Fifa so every time one says something negative about COD you notice it, while the same person says the same about Fifa you just don't pay that much attention to it. Most of the comments I see about yearly releases being the cancer of the industry usually mention COD and Fifa.
