PS4 rocket league and pretty much most multiplatform console tournaments are on PS4 like Mortal Kombat, street fighter etc.

And the YouTube front Until Dawn kinda took over, tlou, pewdiepie in general. If we're talking about Xbox you can't really count Minecraft as it's usually PC mods and pc world's that are the overwhelming majority of minecraft viewership.

exept maybe the street fighter evo finals i have yet to come across any esport that is fun to watch, sorry. as for youtube ps4 communities, don't know and don't care. gaming based interaction with other people while playing multiplayer games and maybe some twitch streams from time to time is enough for me.

PlayStation league is launching soon with loads of games having their own championships. There are gold and silver leagues and prize money for leagues and then finals at large events with bigger prizes. COD is now first dlc to ps4 and King of fighters and street fighter v as well as rocket league are exclusive........ Sony know what they're doing. I remember when machinima and red vs blue was big but it's pretty old stuff now and you just get this whole "funded by ms" vibe from everything they do. It's not really fresh or funny anymore...... Just my opinion. Streaming is much more of a trend now.

Is it negative tho? I mean one bad thing for Nintendo right now is their handling of Youtubers making video content which includes their games or mentions their characters, when I think of the words Youtube and Nintendo in a sentence, it's normally in there alongside "Have no idea what they're doing" and "have fucked up again with" I'm sure there are groups at Sony who monitor how their rival companies are getting on in each area of the market, but I would bet Sonys legal/PR team would rather stay clear of youtube if it could end up going the way the big N handles it.

Regarding Bryank75, aye when RvB started to get invited to MS events to promote their games their kinda... free lance love of the games and series died for me and very much just turned into a billboard for MS to use to promote their upcoming games and events, it's fine to say that none of what they might say about something they're promoting is a lie, but you know when a group is being sponsered by a games company that they're unlikely to be as fast on the bandwagon to point out flaws.

Nobody talks about them because quite frankly who gives a shit?

I follow quite a few PS only youtubers. They just don't get a lot of attention but they exist.

Sony has never been about just one franchise or having some "mascot". They've always been about having the most diverse library to meet everyone's needs. They don't have one "magnificient" title that makes you "think Sony" when you see it, and sells 10 million (sure, there's GT, but those games take forever to come out and are a 'legs' type of game, not one that sells 5 milliion on launch). Instead, that have many, many "great" titles that get equal recognition, so they all get lost in the mix.

E-Sports is a PC-centric phenomenon.
For Youtubers... I am actually inclined to agree with you. I generally consider myself to be a PlayStation fan, but all the Youtubers I watch generally focus on Nintendo games.
