The 1st one: E-Sports So couple days ago some guy (sorry, i fogot your name XD!) made a thread about "should Sony enter E-Sports" and i think it was a great thread ;). Most people chose "No" or Yes but Unnecessary. Some people also defended that the PlayStation is already in Esport, which is nothing wrong! Cuz it's true. But, That's just the console, im sure he was talking about the Exclusives. And in term of exclusives, beside MGS4, i have never heard of any Sony 1st party games in there. Nintendo has Super Smash and XBOX has Halo which are 2 very popular exclusive franchise with lot of POPULAR tournaments. However tho, I can see that they're slowly improving with the games like GT Sport and RIGS. But honestly, imho. Racing games aint as much fun to watch and RIGS is just another bad I.P like the order 1886. I'm sure the game will Fail disasterly. The 2nd: YouTubers/Parodies. Tbh, i have never noticed or even care much about this until recently when i watched Halo v. Destiny (which is an AWESOME parody btw). If you think about it, there are tons of POPULAR parodies/song/raps or just fanmade video about XBOX & Nintendo characters such as Mario, Masterchief, Link, Pokemon, etc or even the former big-3 like SEGA. But never have i seen Nathan, Sackboy, Kratos or PlayStation characters in there.... On top of that, Nintendo & XBOX have many famous YouTubers that are dedicating to them. Nintendo: TheJwittz, ProJared, Game Theorist (mostly about big N), GamesGrumps, NintendoGameGirl? GamexPlain and MANY MORE. XBOX: HaloFollowers, XboxAddictionz, Outsidexbox, Achievement Hunters, REDvsBLUE and pretty much EVERY MINECRAFT CHANNELs.... PlayStation: ...............................................................VaatiVidya................................................................. Absolutely no one! LMFAO!
Sometimes, im wondering myself, the PS4 is getting bigger but is the fanbase really is ? As for me, #PS4life |
Sony has never been about just one franchise or having some "mascot". They've always been about having the most diverse library to meet everyone's needs. They don't have one "magnificient" title that makes you "think Sony" when you see it, and sells 10 million (sure, there's GT, but those games take forever to come out and are a 'legs' type of game, not one that sells 5 milliion on launch). Instead, that have many, many "great" titles that get equal recognition, so they all get lost in the mix.
