Hmm, if it supported disc games I would be excited and it would put the PS4 on my "buy next year" list rather than "buy when $200" list. Until then I will stick with Pcsx2.
I'm really hoping that Sony will have a website where people can suggest and vote on games they want on PS4 instead of adding random games like with Now. Sure they'll have to get the publishers behind it, but it would be nice.
I thought they meant an emulation app where you could download ISO's and play them, that would be awesome because my pc can't run a lot of the games I want to play.
I would never do it though that's super illegal

I know right?

I first thought they were only released digitally.
This is the right step, in living up to that slogan for the gamers. Now to start working on a elite dualshock4...
I think it's coming E3 2016!
Stop dreaming about disc based emulation guys. It won't happen for so many reasons. Even if it was possible, Sony wouldn't allow it...
They are going to sell those as PS2 classics, maybe with a new catchy name. Hopefully with a bigger library than PS3's PS2 classics.

The fact that Sony just dropped this emulation with no announcement and also with the so so selection I would assume that any real effort for the emulation is far off. Either way this is a solid move which will be interesting to see how much effort Sony puts into it.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the PS4 doesn't read DVDs... Only Blu-Rays.
So there goes using your old PS2 discs to emulate them on the console.
