And here I thought Quarter to Three were the worst reviewers out there. I was wrong. I rather read one of their reviews than watch this video again.

I even agreed that the review isn't great but it's passable. I even opened my "asccusation" with "I feel like..". That's one of the ways you gently get someone's attention and make them engage on a deeper level than "FALL OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH" and "WORST REVIEW EVER". I wasn't even pointing fingers until I was dragged to explain what I meant further. I am actually a bit surprised, that out of all mods, Tachi is one to talk about "making comments about other users in this thread". Giving her previous approval of objectively far worse behaviour. This then This happened not so long ago. Maybe I should've went on the offensive so that she agrees with me and then, I wouldn't have been warned. ..and now, I am officially in a sticky territory but at least I'd welcome the ban in this case |
You seem under the impression that I got away " Scott free" after making that post, the problem for you is that I didn't, so pointing to them to excuse your own posts does nothing to help your cause.
I issued you a polite warning about an unneeded comment tacked to the end of your post in the hopes that you would heed it and refrain from making any further comments or singling out any users, And you flew off the handle.
While you may genuinely believe your comment was perfectly fine. The problem with it even though it was not directed at a single user, is that it essentially becomes a rule skirting blanket statement aimed at everyone who posted anything negative, writing off their thoughts or opinions on the matter as being blind hatred, and that is not OK.
If you want to discuss it further I'd advise PMing me, as I'd like to avoid the topic further derailing the thread.

I have better idea, just report the video to youtube for harasment lol,

| Tachikoma said: Because people talking about the review, or anita is kinda the point of why a forum exists, to bring up a topic and talk about it, you might not like what others have to say about it, however when it goes from making comments about a video or the person that made it, to making comments about other users in the thread, you move into sticky territory in that you are skirting the rules of the forum. It has nothing to do with taking what you say out of context, and everything to do with giving you a fair warning. And yes, implying that certain users came in to the thread with a predisposition to hate on the video in question, regardless of how true that may be, is making an accusation. |
I really like this sites moderation, if this was neogaf 90% of the people in this thread would have been banned by now. ![]()

Too hard to justify, even if part of a greater harassment initiative lol.

We'll have to agree to disagree. None of the games you mentioned, or any others that I've played can compare to a great book or film in terms of storytelling IMO. |
Its your opinion I respect that. I personaly think each medium has its pros and cons with movies being the weakest of the 3, it tends to be hard to have the kind of character development you get in books and videogames in a 2 hour format, while the length of a videogame and specialy a book allow for a much better paced development for the characters. Often times the videogame devs arent good storytellers tough and the medium still have a long way to go cause even the devs that do know how to tell a story fall in some traps.
Thanks to you guys, Google is suggesting her videos to me non-stop now
I watched this just for the heck of it and I kinda understand where some of you are coming from. She, indeed, comes off as a feminist nazi in this one. She completely avoids criticizing the actresses that agreed to be photographed and for 5 minutes she has made so many generalizations that made it hard to finish watching the whole thing. She, not once, mentions the sexualization of males or considers it an issue, which makes her comes off as a total hypocrite.
While selective sexualization of females in video games is prevalent imo, the same doesn't apply to other sorts of media, that's why I do get it if some feminists heavily criticized video games developers for unnnecessary choices they make but no so much when it comes to TV shows or movies.
What those feminists don't get though, is that video game stories, in general, tend to be tacky and frankly, if pitched to movies' producers they'd be laughed at and rejected. So their criticism may lead to games with females characters playing more prominent role and less "unnecessary" sexualization, but it will not make the guts of the stories told any better, in other words, they'd still laughed at and rejected in the film industry. That's a missed opportunity, how about being more inclusive of all story aspects now that you got developers' attention?
One thing I'd like to mention is that video I am talking about is 4 years old, maybe she is better at picking her battles now and less of a feminist nazi than she used to be, because I didn't sense similar silliness in her AC review.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:
