Forums - Nintendo - Final Fantasy XV director would like to work on a Zelda game

Yeah well, I´m sure they would make an awesome game graphic wise, but I like my Zelda games to be good as a whole ya know? And Zelda U artstyle alreay looks oustanding, I preffer that to the realistic look of FF Backstreetboys edition tbh.

Not really, Wind Waker has one of the best combat systems I have ever seen on an action-adventure game until date. It may be simple, but it never gets old.

And btw, ANYTHING is better than FF13 combat system and FF15 is not looking way better.

The amount of salt in this thread over a guy, who isn't even Nomura by the way, saying he'd like to work as a staff member in a Zelda game could kill a giant slug.

Like really big.

I would like mainstay FF games back on Nintendo consoles too, but I don't see that happening either.

EDIT: Just in case, yes I'm aware its a publisher thing.

Dear Forum Goers,

Fair warning, the mods are keeping track of this thread and if you use it as a way to take potshots at developers *cough* GNM *cough* you will be moderated accordingly.

All my Love,
Torillian

I'm a fan of fighting games and hacknslash games, and even I can agree to this. Wind Waker has one of the, if not the, most kinesthetically satisfying combat systems ever made and it is utilized well and expanded upon throughout the entire game. It really is expertly crafted. The combat doesn't need to be complex to be satisfying.

The Souls games and Bloodborne are proof positive of this. The combat in those games is even more simple than in Wind Waker, yet the combat in those games feel awesome. Because it's designed so intelligently.

Aside from the attack buttons being on the triggers of course, because fuck comfortable controls, amirite?

but that will take another 10 years XD

sry for my bad english - it is not my 1st language

If that would translate into more support from SE and a better relation with Nintendo as a whole, I say go for it. After EAD finishes with Zelda U, go work with Square. I don't see the problem. Even as a spinoff, just the names of the developers alone would sell the title. Also, there's no reason to think the game would be bad, neither SE nor Nintendo would allow the game to be bad.

One Zelda game in exchange of SE full support for a gen, seems reasonable if they can pull it off.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

That was my first reaction but I could approve of some kind of spin-off as long as the minds behind FFXIII aren't allowed near the project, and excessive use of hairgel and emo characters is prohibited.
