Has Nintendo Gone to Far With DLC!?

Offcourse not, what then shall we say for all other companies!?

Smash Bros. is full complete game without any DLC, all those DLC are small addons, if you really like them you will buy them. But all other Nintendo DLC-s are pretty good.

Any DLC is too far. DLC is garbage.

Mario Kart 8 DLC say you are wrong.

^ And Hyrule Warriors!

They went too far with DLC as soon as they introduced amiibos...

I still find the complains about amiibo really absurd, there is not a single game where they unlock anything significant at all outside Mario Party X and even there is completely lame, I dont buy amiibo and I didn´t feel the need to buy any amiibo for any particular feature at all in all this time, yet I only see people complaining because aparently is fundamental that you are able to dress your mii like Kirby in MK8 .

And I don't see how Amiibos is such a big issue but that might be because I actually like the idea of collectible figurines that also gives you exclusive cosmetic stuff for certain games. Those extra items are for those who own the figurines and if you don't want the figurine...well, too fucking bad. Not that I've used an Amiibo in a game yet, despite owning 35 of them...

Most of that lame content that amiibo unlocks exists because amiibo on the first place, so the not existence of amiibo would probably mean the not existence of that content at all, I don´t see how that is better in any sense (except for having less whiny people and less food for the haters),I understand complains because supplies issues making the toys cost 200$ on ebay, but for the content itself? Not at all.

Completely agree, Amiibo figures are much more collectible figurines than DLC. There only unlocks cosmetics staffs in certain games, small and insignificant staffs. I have around 10 Wii U games and no one Amiibo and I don't feel need to buy any Amiibo.

I think this is pretty OK - Amiibos are greate - DLC are there as extras of most (mainly) great games don't take away anything to the gameplay or lenght of each game - most SB dlc are stages which you can easily avoid or skip.

i think they are just fine!

Still pretty dirty of them, would not be so bad if they were not so crazyily overpriced

Only thing which has bugged me so far is the price for Smash stages, $2.50 (or $3.79 for both Wii U and 3DS) for a N64 stage seems a bit much. But even so, it's not dreadful, there's worse DLC out there.

Same price as Skylanders and Disney Infinity toys, cheaper than Lego Dimensions. They're just following the industry standard.

Nope they atleast are doing it the right way.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

They have not gone too far, they are simply catching up to modern standard/level of DLC from other companies.
