I'm sorry, Soul Calibur?

Yes, but I see it quite often.
Are the games named like this in Europe or some place? (Bloodborne I'm sure doesn't)

I have no idea, the official name of the Series is the Soul Calibur series, intentionally spelled wrong, and like my instinct is to just spell it right.

I disagree, Demon's, Souls bd Bloodborne are all masterpieces, there's just nothing like them today.

Dark Souls 1 is my favorite game ever and imo the best game ever made.

Yup, Dark Souls 2 is not, but Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are masterpieces.
Bloodborne probably as well, but have yet to play it.

Yeah, DaS 2 isn't quite as good but still really fucking good... just not a masterpiece.

Not even close. Not going to defend what FF has become, but the souls series is lacking alot to even be on the same level as the old JRPG's. Plot for example, character for example. Theres no story, just a slow action game combat.
Its just like saying Monster hunter is the new FF. No, they arent. They are completely different games.

I for one love the old FF titles and the Souls seris does not appeal to me in the slightest.

Not when it comes to relevance, critical acclaim, reception and sales :D

With that said I really do like the original demon souls. On the reverse I hared FF13 that much I stopped playing jrpg's for years. My original point still stands though.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

I liked FF7 but after that it got way too much into "J-POP Backstreet Boys RPG" territory. I don't understand at all why Squaresoft thought that was a smart direction to go in. IX was good too, but it was the last one that was really free of that Boy Band/Pop Girl aesthetic.

Shoot, forgot about 9. Yes, that  one I liked.

The FF games peaked with 6, 7, Tactics, 8, and 10.

FF9 was generic and lame.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I don't agree. Furthermore, I think that you and like soooo many other whiny gamers these days completely miss the point of not just games like final fantasy but most things in general that involves you accepting an opinion outside your own. Let me explain before it seems like I'm contradicting myself.

Every final fantasy game is for the most part very very very different. If I made a list of my favorite FF games, it would most likely differ from one of yours and from most others here in the forums. That to me is the beauty of the franchise. I preferred FF3, FF8 and FF12 to any other of the final fantasy games. And I am more excited for FF15 than I have ever been for a FF game cause its basically doing what I dreamed they would one do day in the franchise.

And that's not a bad thing. Imagine how the franchise would be if 1 through 15 all had the exact same setting, mechanics, music...etc Change is good, unfortunately for games like FF that requires so much invested time it could come off as a bad thing when the best things you love about the last game you played has been taken out in the next one. Again, nothing wrong with that.

Point is, the same way you have specific installments in the series that you loved, is the same way others probably love the ones you hate. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Only wrong thing here is suggesting that the version of FF you like marks the best the franchise ever was and could be and suggest that till they all go back to being that way then FF has somehow lost its way.

souls series is more like a modern version of castlevania or diablo but not final fantasy. there are fundamental differences between a souls game and final fantasy. priority of final fantasy is, or at least should be, story and characters whereas the priority of the souls series clearly is gameplay and world. don't know about you people but i don't buy souls games because of story, characters and soundtrack. final fantasy i do.

They are nothing alike. Souls focuses on its world and setting while FF puts a greater emphasis on its story and characters. The story & characters are what make FF a memorable experience.

I don't get the JPop complaint. Only FFX-2 and XIII-2 had multiple Jpop songs, and they weren't overdone or filled with it.
