Forums - Gaming - I'm On Chapter 11 Of MGS5 ... When Does It Start Being Fun?

Serious question because so far I've found it dull, uninspired, repetative, overly complicated and nothing like a MGS game.

I thought they all were that, at least the ones I have tried (MGS2, MGS3, Peace Walker).

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

I really started enjoying the game more like in chapter 8 where you have to sneak in and blow up those tanks. I also really liked chapter 10 playing face to face sniper against Quiet during the night.

Well, this is my first MGS title and I started having fun right away. Different strokes I guess.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I'm not very far into the game yet but at the moment MGSV really seems like a prime example of a overhyped game.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

It's always best to wait for others to play a new game, get some sort of feel for it based on their experience, look up some gameplay, and avoid "professional" reviewers. From what I've gathered, many of those 9s and 10s were conjured up at some press event or something with Konami as host.

After MGS1, I've never been able to get into any MGS game. Some people love it, others don't see what people like about it.

Played GZ and after completing the mission I deleted it. My friend on the other hand got over 10hrs of joy out of it.

Didn't like MGS3? I loved that game. Can't speak on the others though, I've only played Snake Eater.

Don't know. I haven't liked a MGS game in a very long time, so i didn't bother buying this one.

Sounds like someone fell for the hype. MGS hasn't been the same since Snake Eater.

I only really enjoyed the first one on PS and again on the Gamecube.
