Hope they change the lighting system some time soon. ^^

More night races could come as (free) DLC, as well as more rain tracks.

Snow might be a nice addition, bu before we get to superrealistic weather i'd actually like to have softbody physics all over.

I doubt we will see snow in a mainline Forza game this generation.  Would really like snow to first appear in a Horizon game since driving across various snow covered terrain would be much more fun than a snow covered track and most races never happen on a snow covered track and the only track in the Motorsports games right now that would be cool with snow and a snow covered track is the Ring.

They could do some winter tracks. But Turn 10 could as well finally bring something like offroad/rally at least as DLC.

That stuff was fun in FH2, especially the Storm Island DLC. And FM has had SUV's, pickups etc. for quite some time.

And wih rally and offroad snow actually would make perfectly sense.

I haven't played Driveclub, so I can't comment on anything but the little bit the video and other videos I've seen, but from what I saw, I don't particularly care for the rain effects.

There's two things that stick out to me; the sheer amount of reflection on the road which makes you think there's half a foot of rain on the track. Forza doesn't have that. There's also a much more prominent mist effect from cars in Driveclub which is more realistic. The rain also seems more realistic as an actual object in Driveclub when the wipers wipe it away. Aside from that, I don't see an actual difference between them.

That said, the rain definitely looks way more annoying in Driveclub. For some reason it's supposed to be cool that it acts like Vaseline on the camera, despite not using a cockpit camera which makes no sense. There are points where I can't see a damn thing despite the rain not being anywhere close to the intensity required to produce that level of blindness.

Lastly, the driving effects on rain in Driveclub is just comical. 2:43 in particular is just laughable. Braking to take a turn at 190 kph while it's pouring does not result in a perfect turn with no loss of traction or control. It results in you spinning out of control. I know it's much more arcadey than Forza, but there just doesn't seem like any discernable challenge when you don't have to worry about going off the track. I counted one time where it looked like the driver lost partial control of the car when in Forza there would have been 7 or 8. Just seems to be much more realism in Forza's rain driving. It just looks a little bland at the moment and not as realistic.

I think you missed my point.  I think we can all agree that visually, Driveclub win hands down.  And visuals are all that these 2 articles talk about.  None of them talk about how the rain affects car handing and friction physics models (ie. how your car handles in the rain).

The realistic implementation of driving physics is where Forza 6 excells, and something that I value more than just a visual effect.

Read this article:  http://ca.ign.com/articles/2015/08/04/forza-6s-rain-effects-are-unprecedented-in-gaming

Here are a few snippets as well:

“So, the things that we’ve done in rain I believe are unprecedented in gaming. We’ve got standing water that’s fully simulated on the track and, depending on the size of your tyres and how fast your angle of attack is, those tyres will aquaplane and you’ll be along for the ride.”

Greenawalt explains that, while determining just how rain impacts grip, the team discovered that the reason friction is reduced in the rain has a great deal to do with the porosity of any given surface type. That is, how many pores – or empty spaces, so to speak – there are in a certain material.

“[T]he amount of porosity affects how much the water actually pools there and how it affects friction,” says Greenawalt. “So we have over 148 different surface types that are driveable in Forza Motorsport 6 on any given rain track, and you’ll actually be driving across the numbers that we researched.”

“If you’re in a really fast car, like a Ford GT that has really wide tyres or maybe a Corvette or something like that, if you hit it at a lower speed it will hydroplane more easily because it has a wider front tyre, but also because those cars carry so much more speed through the corners, even in the wet, that you’re gonna probably hit it at a much faster speed. So that means you’re gonna really raise the tyres off the ground.

Driveclub wins visually, but Forza wins on how the water interacts with how the cars handle in a realistic fashion.  And it still looks pretty damn good visually to boot.

Well I think there is a really good chance that one of the DLC tracks could be a offroad/rally course.  One of the few cars that didn't make it over from Horizon 2 is the 2014 VW #34 Rockstar Engergy Drink Beetle GRC I could see that car be included in a track car pack for a offroad/rally course.   One of the first DLC tracks needs to be one of the Japanese tracks from Forza 4 or better yet a new Japanese track to Forza that is actually well known for having races while it rains Fuji Speedway.

60fps>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>better rain

Driveclub's overall artistic direction is just way beyond every car game ever made.
When I look at forza 6, it looks like the cars don't fit in with the rest of the game, you can really feel that it is a videogame.
In driveclub it is almost like everything is tangible. The look of the game is just perfect.

The challenge in drive club is track memorization and driving on at great speed despite visibility going down to zero. It simulates the thrill of driving fast in bad weather conditions, yet stays arcadey enough to make that possible. The point is that at certain times you indeed can't see a damn thing. Sure it's not realistic that you don't spin out, yet my heart rate goes up a lot more speeding through heavy rain and snow than it does when I slow all the way down to stay on the road in the rain in project cars. It's not just the rain, low sun will blind you too, mirrors from other cars at night (also not realistic) or even clouds drifting through high altitude tracks. It's hurtling down the tracks while relying on your memory that makes it so satisfying. You could simulate the same thing with someone walking in front of the tv, but depending on the person, driveclub looks better in the way it tries to distract you.

I enjoy the simulation aspect too, yet kinda disappointed the rain is static in F6. The fun in simulation for me is slowly losing traction as the track gets wetter and deciding when to go into the pits to change the tires, or try to tough it out on slicks. It's always fun to pass a bunch of people in multiplayer that gambled wrong, either burning out their rain tires as the track dries up or hardly able to stay on the track.

2 different games. One focuses on the thrill of racing in poor visibility conditions, the other focuses on driving with compromised grip.

I have the Driveclub and Project Cars, but so far I have mainly played Driveclub. It is more arcade style game, but personally I think it has the best visuals and most realistic graphics. Especially in rain, Forza looks like the cars are hovering on the track, same as most other car games.

Forza 6 look great and look exactly the same like Forza 5, too bad the weather affect is like 7th gen graphic, if they want to make like Driveclub they need to lower their resolution to 720p and make it 20 frames per second, i bet the graphic will be on par with Driveclub graphic.
