Hacking into websites and exposing people's private lives is bad. But screw Ashley Madison for commercialising extra-marital affairs and making money out of facilitating lying and deceit and breech of trust in relationships. Possibly the most immoral website ever so the business itself deserves to go bankrupt and die.

What individuals do in their own lives is their business, but a website that exploits the worst aspects of a person's character (being deceitful and betraying the trust of someone who is meant to be someone they love) is totally disgusting.

Hackers have blood on their hands as far as I'm concerned as far as causing those two suicides and should be found and put in prison for a long, long time.

No one has the right to play "morality police" and disclose information like that even if cheating isn't a virtuous thing to do, it's not illegal.

What if someone signed up just as a joke? What if someone signed up because their wife/husband is a b*tch but never followed through in the end? Did they think about those people?

Does a kid who had a parent who had some infidelity deserve to grow up with a dad/mom that killed themselves from the shame on this whereas his friends probably half of their parents have cheated, but their parents weren't put through the same kind of public shaming?

It's bullsh*t if you ask me.

As someone who suffered from depression for 11 years and suicidal multiple times I can tell you right now. Suicide is nothing but the responsibility of the person who committs it. Hackers dont have any blood on there hands.

Dont defend people who committ suicide its a selfish act. If you want to be angry at anyone it shouldnt be the hackers or even the idiots who signed up to the website knowing fully well what they were doing was wrong, get mad at the guy who conjured the sick idea to start the website.

Hackers are to blame, what gives them the right to reveal personal information? even if they were victims they should have done what they did. Website is also to blame as they need to make sure they security system is on point because people are trusting them with important information.

Cheater are not to blame, hate them all you want (like me) but if cheating is the way they want to live their life no one other than themselves has the right to say if they cheat.

So if I push or even encourage someone who's in a fragile state and they end up killing themselves, I'm scott free of responsibility? Because after all it was all their responsibility right?

Boy must nice to be a hacker.

If you want to cheat then at least grow some balls and not be a pussy and come clean about it. The person youre cheating on has a right to know and the people who cheated they got whats coming to them.

I am glad the hackers have done it cause it has exposed alot of government officials for there sleazy antics, so now I know who not to vote for. There is no way the hackers will get caught if they dont follow up with more hacks but more than likely they will hack other websites and will eventually leave trails.

Why not flip this around then?

If you're getting cheated odds are it's before you're f*cking boring in a relationship, let yourself go, or are an asshat full stop and probably deserved to get cheated on. Lets just blame everyone then.

Did the hackers also consider that this might shame/embarrass the people who were getting cheated on? Say a wife/husband privately dealt with this ... did they ever consider that it might put the person who was cheated on through hell too to have something like that made public if it's a site their significant other signed up for like 8 years ago?

In my opinion that couple absoutely has the right to sue these piece of shit hackers into infinity. You don't have the right to arbitrarily disclose information like this just because your girlfriend went out and sucked off some other dude who wasn't a pansy (which is pretty much probably what happened), and now you decided you're going to impact hundreds/thousands of other people's lives? No Mr. Hacker(s). Fuck you is what I say to that. You're not the morality police and no one asked you to be.

What if the cheater is a woman that has been beaten by her husband for several years and is basically afraid of her life?

Just the simple existence of this website makes me laugh.

Exactly. Karma is a bitch.

Or just self-accountability.  Cannot deal with it, then you are not ready for life.
