Considering that nintendo is not a brand that can be ignored, and that dena alreadly pointed out that they are preparing for the reveal, i think the time is correct. Would be good for apple and good for nintenod to get this exposure.

Do you think that will happen?

No. Because the first Nintendo mobile game was already announced:

my greatest games: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024

10 years greatest game event!

bets: [GTA6]

I honestly don't think Nintendo is the kind of company that would go on another company's stage like that

I can't see Nintendo doing something like this,

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

It is possible.

Different development team, and most importantly, Game Freak is technically not owned by Nintendo.

As for Apple showing off Nintendo's potential game, Apple gains nothing from it - unless Nintendo is willing to put core franchise, Apple won't agree to it.

Actually, Apple recieves a portion of the sells for each game sold (30 cents for every dollar) if memory serves me correctly. So if it does well, Apple will make a nice profit.

That would be a very good time to announce it indeed. Good exposure for Nintendo, won't make Nintendo fans angry because of it taking place in a Direct or anything, and really is just a great idea overall.

In other words, it's not happening.

It would be a good time.. Indeed.. :)

But why should us Nintendo fans be angry if Nintendo did theire own thing.. (the may call it direct or some other).. ?

I would not.. Nintendo becomming bigger and reaching out to a "new" +500.000.000 market.. is only nice to watch :)

(same with the themeparks and QOL.. moveis and other..)

I would like them to because I really want to see what there first mobile game is, and it what be great publicity, but I can't see Nintendo doing something like this.
