They can never make one in the eyes of Sony and MS fans, but to me they are still very relevant.

Sure, they have the money, they just have to spend it.

Alternately, they could hit another home-run with a gimmick/innovation. Both short-term fads and long-term technological foundations would qualify.

They have a super dedicated core of fans they can count on pretty much no matter what, they just need to find ways to entice people who are currently spending their money elsewhere.

Genyo Takeda and Shigeru Miyamoto are just not going to be the right people to take them to success with hardware IMO.

Miyamoto is a brilliant game designer, but that doesn't mean he should be running the business side or making hardware decisions. You let Willy Wonka make the chocolate, you don't put him in charge of the accounting.

No one will be happier to be proven wrong than me, but I just feel these guys will just fuck it up. While they have good principals they're just way too out of touch and old fashioned and this business is just too damn cutthroat to make mistakes in.

Sony isn't messing around, if you want some of that console pie, you better be bringing something impressive to the table.

it's very relevant for 10 million costumers

Nope. Mess up once, that's it. It's been proven in several scientific studies done by Perez Hilton that if you produce a commercially unsuccessfuly product once, then you will never be able to produce a successful one again. I read about it in People.

true.

I echo this, to me and lots of others, the Wii U is very relevent.

Yes but in that light the Wii U would be a relevant console if I follow the bolded theory, because that fanbase will barely get the NX over 20 million, which is not going to be enough to compete sales wise with the two, which dictates relvancy in my opinion. I doubt Nintendo will announce the new next gimmick those things are hit or miss, DS and Wii where hit 3D and tablet where miss. So they to entice people during the entire gen with high quality games but I don't see them doing that on there own and Nintendo is to proud to let third parties mengle with the crearion af there system which leads in most cases to abondonment and software draughts, I don't see Nintendo easily fix that, perhaps with another president which understands the market of today because another Wii U is never going to break the 30 million boundary.

Yes but insgnificant for the entire 8th console gen when it comes to an end, unlike the PS or Xone numbers

Nah, mate. Nintendo is going to be doomed forever!
