I think it was. Then they realized how much harm they did and changed their stance. It's more fair, now.
The media goes with the leader and criticizes the loser. The same thing happened with PS3 and 360.

The people complaining about media bias are usually the most biased themselves.

MS seems to have escaped criticism for their lack of exclusives for the first 2/3 of this year, their first party efforts, which have been few and far between for the last two years, and have successfully convinced a lot of news sites that only the holidays count. They were rightly criticized after the reveal, but since then I think if anything they have been given an easy ride. That being said, I only see the news posted on here, gaf and reddit, so they may be getting unfairly treated elsewhere, I'm only judging by the limited amount I have seen.
Some have Sony bias, some have MS bias, some have Nintendo bias, some tell it how it is, some are angry at everything and some see good in eveything that is about games.
Bias in the industry sure. But media on the whole biased against Xbox One, no.

yeah after a big backlash everyone pulls in the opposite direction equally strong. It happened after X1 reveal and now it's happening with the DCEU in film. Hipsters come out in droves to go against the popular opinion.
