Innovation is subjective dude.  Sorry to burst your bubble.

Innovation just means doing something differently or a new concept it's not subjective.

In the strict definition of the word 'Innovation' yeah it's just a new concept.

in·no·va·tion
ˌinəˈvāSH(ə)n/
noun

  1. the action or process of innovating.
    • a new method, idea, product, etc.
      plural noun: innovations
"technological innovations designed to save energy"

Which means whether it is good or bad _is_ subjective.  Maybe the gamepad was 'Innovative'.  It was still a crap idea and will be dumped or made an afterthought next cycle, just like the wiimote is an afterthought this cycle.

VR and Hololense says Hi!!!

they are right.
but not every innovation is a good idea.
and if the only innovation was not a good idea, shows the shame this generation is.

Why do people ignore this. Touchpad has been done before, VR is new and growing

And along with 4k, it won't be a thing until they get it right, I predict a decade at least.

If it was just 1 company working on it, then I would agree with you. But every major company is supporting VR including Samsung, Sony, Microsoft, oculus and Facebook, Valve, and more. Given all of their involvement, I predict VR to be done properly within the next 2-3 years, especially since VR has been in the works for years

Remember blu Ray and hd? Some things don't catch on, some things do. I simply think VR will catch on since it does seem like a step up for gaming

Well, no one is really using it.

I do think it's pretty innovative, but when no one is taking advantage of it, it doesn't say much.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly

So basically Smart Glass?
