What is this? A Megaman rip off?

It's from Megaman's creator. Inafune quite Capcom shortly after Megaman Legends 3 got the boot. Similar to how Iga left Konami after they put the kabosh on any more of his 2D Castlevania titles. I'm waiting for Kojima to have kickstarter that is basically MGS without being called MGS.

Cannot wait for Plastic Cog Liquid.

Inafune didn't create Mega Man.

The sound is good, but the graphics could be better; objects could be more defined and the boxes, barrels and ladders look kinda bad. Doesn't do anything interesting with the perspective as a 3D game, and the palette is not interesting either, but at least it's not drab.

The gameplay looks kinda messy and busy, and as seen in the video the basic run is a joke, so expect to be zooming all over the place and running into things. Level design doesn't seem very inspired. It's a shame, but this looks a step below the Rocket Knight remake.

This was the biggest issue I had, but I'll have to play it for myself to see firsthand. In the 14 minutes, basically the entire video looked the same with not much variation in the level design. That makes for a boring game. For me, at least.

On a positive note, I did like the gameplay, sound and graphics. But bland level design can kill a video game for me. Oh well, I'll still buy it. lol

It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

Gameplay looks very basic and retro, graphics are ok but nothing decent android hardware couldn't replicate easily. Not watched it to see any bosses if there are any though. Just looks like a nothing game with no real significance TBH. Not hate-ing just an honest opinion.

But isn't it what Megaman's supposed to be?

The type of game yes but the wii u hardware while not super powerful is certainly capable of far beyond this. It's gpu feature set is highly likely to be beyond ps3 and 360 and I would of hoped for much more sophisticated graphics with regard metallic surfaces, parallax scrolling, lighting, animation and general upgrades for modern gpu hardware.

You are right he was merely the character designer. Sorry about that. I know I hate when people say Yuji Naka created Sonic.

I just wish this game would come out already! I really want to see how it compares to the classic Mega Man games.

So why is the voice acting considered bad? Also does anyone else think this won't sell well?

Elaborate. I know Call is supposed to be intentionally wooden and robotic, and Sanda should have some of his lines redubbed, but everyone else? I don't see it.

I want this

Switch!!!

I keep getting a Mega Man X8 vibe from this game. Which is a good and bad thing, X8 was a good game and so far I like what I see from the gameplay. The graphical style they chose is a bit offsetting though, much like X8 in my opinion. I'm still looking forward to it though.
