The second screen mechanic will be much more manageable and local download play would be pretty cool.

But the gorgeous turf paint will feel less lively.

Well the current game is way to demanding for the 3ds. So if a Splatoon game made it to the 3ds it would be built from the ground up and a welcome addition to the 3ds library.

I'd be like

My brother has my Wii U and I only get to play when he visits during the summer. I'm quite saddened by the fact I will not be able to play Splatoon for an entire year. A 3DS version would be so great for me.
