I'm still not sold on Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Affleck and Cavill jacked for this this movie. It makes casting a waif as Wonder Woman that more obvious. Otherwise I thought the trailer was good.

Shoulda been Ronda Rousey lol.

Ronda Rousey is 5'6. Wonder Woman is 6ft tall. The only thing they got close to right about Gal Gadot is that she's 5'10. Of course she's 5'10 and weighs less than 5'6 Ronda Rousey.....

It's comic book tradition that the first meeting between Batman and Superman ends with them fighting each other, before becoming allies.

Not always (man of steel 3, Superman-Batman Adventures World finest, Generations, Batman/Superman new 52)  but let's say that in general that is true, do they really need to make it the central part of the plot? it certainly looks like this is the only important part of the movie is to create a reason for them to fight and then make them fight, the end. What is usually a plot troupe "look the heroes fight for a few minutes before they realize they are on the same team and become friends" is the ENTIRE PLOT of the movie. I am really dissapointed with the movie so far and this trailer is not helping.

I don't like any Superman vs. Batman story lines. They require tremendous leaps and logic and suspension of disbelief beyond that of normal comic plots. That or they have to written by Frank Miller.  I like Batman as much as the next guy, but "Because he's the goddamn Batman" isn't logical reason for him to win a fight.

Just watched the trailer, looks like I'll skip it. Can't believe Snyder is going with that brown tint again, not does the suit make any sense.

MoS had Superman defy the laws of physics and his own strength by becoming more powerful in the centre of those gravity machines and now we are to believe an iron man suite is enough to give him a tough fight?!

Also, why is Lex Luther dressed as the joker?!

Well, in order to make this even remotely believable as a plot, they have to give Batman some kind of chance (absurd).  Even General Zod DITCHED his (superior than Earth metal) armor, in their final fight.  Unless Batman gets the drop on Superman (no chance), the believability of this story line lasting anything longer than the brief initial moment of aggression is idiotic.

Did you guys forget Superman biggest weaknesses.  Cannot see through lead, Krytonite, Boyscout Morals.  Yeah, I believe its pretty easy to take those traits and give Batman the ability to exploit it.

Hyped up to fuck. This looks the tits man.

Right, but you can't tell me that camera tricks/styles don't exist to make up for that.  Worked pretty well in The Hobbit and LoTR movies.

Who knows he can't see through Lead?  That is never addressed in the MoS movie.  Not even Lois knows this.

Not sure why it takes tremendous leaps of logic to believe that Batman would have a chance against Superman if they were both going head to head.  Both characters are well developed throughout DC universe so how they would act in such a situation would go along those lines.  Superman with this superior body and capabilities would easily just walk into traps because there is very little that can harm him.  Batman on the other hand would especially plan on every contigency he could to trap Superman and use his ego to lure him where he wants.

Are we going to throw away years of canon just because one movie did not show Superman weaknesses.  I am sure if the writers are working on a believable plot they would introduce some scenerio where Superman cannot see through lead.  I believe this was done with Superman 2 which is how Lex found out.

Agreed with you. I think making the movie around that stupid fight is dumb as hell, make it a small skirmish like they did on the avengers or in Justice League: War, yes a lot of people want to see these 2 characters fight, but there is nothing at stake here, they will not kill each other, they will not even injure each other, and at the end they will be friends. They are both the good guys, Batman is smarter than to pick up a fight with someone who is helping people around the world, Superman (at least the one from the comics) is always trying to end things without a fight and will not battle just to see who is stronger.

Building a movie about a gritty comic of the 80's that is not part of the continuity does not make sense at all, and even in that comic the central part of the plot in NOT the stupid fight, there is another reason why they have to battle and even in that one Superman is trying to avoid it. Goyer is great writting many DC characters like Batman and Constantine, but he has no clue on how to handle Superman, he treats him like a 1 dimensional alien without any conection with his family or the world, that is almost stupid and has no real depth, he almost did not had any lines in MOS and it looks like is the same on this movie. Skipping it.

Just reading through the comments. I don't know how the film will play out but it is called "Dawn of Justice".  The two may have a little pissing match where Batman shows he's smarter and Superman shows he's more powerful but in the end, as always, it's going to end with mutual respect and likely the foundation of forming a team.

We get caught up in an will beat who but i doubt Its going to go that way.  This isn't Rocky.  It's two iconic  eroes who ( usually) don't kill.  Let's just enjoy the story.

-also, I'm not actually sure I'm responding to you!! I just hit " quote " and went to town!
