I support legalizing lesser drugs such as weed, but not harder drugs like Meth or LSD. Those are life ruining drugs and the people who use them are also pretty likely to disrupt the lives of those around them.

Ok I am just going to say it: as someone who has actually taken LSD, comparing it to meth is fucking absurd. Not only is it less toxic than vitamin C (the amounts need to inflict any physical damage are absurdly high) but scientist now say micro dosing is better than coffee. It has been proven to be useful in psycho therapy (including helping with alcoholism). It was even endorsed by the Actor Cary Grant (hardly a burn out hippie). The only real dangers connected to it come from the fact that it isn't regulated. There are a dozen drugs that get sold on the street that pretend to be acid but are actually toxic research chemicals or are cheap knock offs cut with cyanide. Also safely taking LSD is all about dosage size, when people lose their shit it was either bad or they taken a stupid high amount. End rant.

Very liberal when it comes to social issues.

Economically, I used to lean left, but now I'm sick of the far left and I'm center right.

Socially left, economically moderate but slightly to the left.

So, I am wondering what people's views here are in terms of politics. I know that we have used the political compass many times, but now I want us to be more specific so that we are not categorized by labels. So, my views are considered to be fairly extreme by many, especially economically (many refer to me as a communist, though I don't know if that is an accurate description or not):

-I support gay marriage, and in fact am more liberal than that: anyone should be able to marry anyone of legal age, whether it be a parent/child, sibling, cousin, etc. I am not against polygamy if everyone is consenting.

-I believe that all drugs and prostitution should be legal, as criminalizing them causes violence, as prostitutes have pimps that violently protect their employers, and drug dealers that arm themselves to protect their property as the government won't do it.

-I am absolutely against the death penalty and torture, as I think that the right to live is the most important of them all

-I support high degrees of freedom of speech; the only things that I don't support are threats

-I believe that the idea of countries is stupid: there should be a unified world, free of borders

-Income inequality is a massive problem: ideally I would like everyone to have the same pay, but realizing that this task is almost impossible, I believe that along with a higher minimum wage there needs to be a maximum wage

-With a maximum wage, the extra money earned that doesn't go to the person can go towards the population, ideally leading to a society where all healthcare, education, goods and housing is provided for

-To talk more in-depth about the previous point, I believe that property should not be bought; instead we would only have a monthly fee taken from taxes, and as long as we agree to stay there, we can't be forced out

-The only money that we would be given is disposable income: this would prevent debt, as the only money that we would have is for non-essential items

-We should have a direct democracy where everyone can vote on issues, instead of the current situation where we elect someone to represent us

Okay, I think that's good enough for now. I may add more as I come up with them. Of course, this is demonstrating an ideal situation for me: I do not know how well my ideas would work in practice, as I have almost no knowledge of economics.

I agree with everthing BUT :  death penalty and torture

Mass killing, mass raping, mass pedophilia (sp?)  all should go under death penality for me.

About torture this depend on what we talk and what is a torture, i have done 1 month in a psy hospital because of illiness, and i can tell you this was a mental torture to me, but this was a need to me to be there.... so i can't agree with you ^^

I've been described by various political personality tests (for whatever they're worth) as an "ultra progressiveness" and an "egalitarian".
Generally, I think it's always fruitful to take a step back and examine ideals we have come to expect simply due to their age.
A perfect example is gay marriage. "Hetro sexual marriage has stood the test of time" a recent Australian politician said. That statement doesn't in any way preclude the possibility that same-sex marriage can't fit unobtrusively into society.
So basically "Because that's the way it's always been!" isn't a reason when debating the merits of this or that political policy. How long did we think that Earth was the centre of the universe? A long bloody time. Didn't make it true.

other beliefs, off the top of my head?

I think prostitution isn't going anywhere so we may as well legalise it in order to give prostitutes a better shake, rather than having to work for criminals.

I believe certain illicit substances should be made legal. I'm no expert on the subject, but I'm not cool with the ones which are highly addictive or immediately turn you into a violent psychopath (we've got an ice problem here in Australia)

I have mixed feelings about the death penalty. The "state sanctioned, dispassionate, ceremonial taking of a human life" doesn't sit well with me, but there are still extreme cases where I think certain people need to die for the sake of the public good. If somebody is to be sentenced to death, I believe it should be because it's been deemed too dangerous to too many people let them live, not because they 'deserve' death. If you want somebody to suffer, don't give them death. They can't suffer when they're dead. Death is an escape from punishment.

I think organised religions have too much power over politics. I believe freedom of religion includes freedom FROM religion. I think religious reasoning has no place in the making of laws. If the law is to reflect religious doctrine, let it be because that doctrine makes sense and man has decided, unrelated to religion that that rule is the right course of action.

I think private companies should be forbidden from contributing to political parties as it creates a conflict of interest.

I think trickle-down economics is a bullshit, because the more money a person accumulates, the more they think they need. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Bz2-YSKCYAADkHS.jpg

I would maybe define myself as a social liberal. I believe the government should provide education, health services, infra structure, a justice system and defence. Taxes are an essential part is society and we should find a balance where individuals get to keep a lot of the salary, while taxes provide for the means to help people achieve their goals. I live in a country (Sweden) where we mostly make this a reality, but I think we lack when it comes to freedom of speech (although we still are among the most liberal in the world in that regard).

I think that peoples choices are their own. Marriage should not be regulated at all and if people want to get married, it should be between them, without any regulations or involvement from the state.

well in sweden i want to prevent the mass imigration and the muslimisation in our country.

Pretty much a polar opposite from many of your points.

I've been called a Centrist Libertarian and I suppose that's right.
