I would maybe define myself as a social liberal. I believe the government should provide education, health services, infra structure, a justice system and defence. Taxes are an essential part is society and we should find a balance where individuals get to keep a lot of the salary, while taxes provide for the means to help people achieve their goals. I live in a country (Sweden) where we mostly make this a reality, but I think we lack when it comes to freedom of speech (although we still are among the most liberal in the world in that regard).
I think that peoples choices are their own. Marriage should not be regulated at all and if people want to get married, it should be between them, without any regulations or involvement from the state.
