Talk about US... ( because we all know has no sense talk about WW )

Sony have Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Uncharted Trilogy, Metal Gear, and Battlefront.

Microsoft have Halo 5, Rise Of The Tomb Raider, Forza 6, and Fallout.

Well...

Forza will be nothing. Those games in the US are death.

Tomb Raider can help, but Battlefront and Call of Duty will crush and disintegrate the poor Lara.

Fallout with a bundle can help.

And then Halo...

Sony wins. no contest, better line up, even if in the exclusives MS win, CoD is too massive, even for Halo...

There is a price question.

If PS4 will be at 400$, MS will win, and even easy.

If will be at 350 or 330$, i will go with PS4.

Hardcore COD players are more concerned about where their clans and pro teams are. And the best COD players play on Xbox. The elite controller and scuf controllers are the best ever made for console fps.

If the "hardcore COD players are more concerned about where their clans and pro teams are" then both that controller and the DLC will be irrelevant for them and any proposal to make them jump ship is unnecessary.

I agree about DLC. Its irrelevant because COD sales correlate to install base. Which is why MS didn't pay Activision for another year. Because people are going to buy it regardless. But the best fps controller for a lower price than a scuf is great incentive.

Please don't tell me, "But it's only 100 games!" Do you really think casuals will care? In the end more games will be added so that argument doesn't hold much weight.

Pretty sure casuals only care about new games....

Actually one of the first questions parents ask is "Will this play (previous console) games" when inquiring about a new generation.

Nobody really cares anymore.  BC is really nice AT LAUNCH!  It has been 2 years lol we don't need it anymore.

Nobody cares?! I don't think there was a point in MS E3 press when the crowd got as loud as when Phil announced BC. Maybe forum dewellers like yourself and others may not, but the average consumer and the millions of 360 owners who own an Xbox 360 and haven't upgraded will very much likely take this feature into consideration. If you cannot tell,I'm focusing on the average consumer with this thread.

You mean how Sony already does with its superior PS+ catalogue?

I'm not really sure what that has to do with what I mentioned, but okay.

Really?   $150 is gonna attract NEW buyers?  This is for the hardcore vets.

Like I said, most controllers like these cost $200 plus. I'm sure MS will market it during the holiday along with a system bundle...oh wait, they already have an Xbox Elite Bundle releasing this holiday.

Meh.  No Man's Sky, Until Dawn, and Superior third party games will sell just fine.  No body cares about Halo or Uncharted when Fallout 4 is coming out.

When you say, "meh" this means you really have no real rebuttle. Yeah cause Until Dawn and No Man's Sky are in the same league as any of the games I mentioned. "Nobody care and Halo" lol.

You may be overappreciating like OP the impact of the Elite controller with COD gamers and the only way to prove how much value gamers see in that controller is to see sales and see how gamers opt for a specific Xbone console over a PS4 console just to play with that controller. You see it as a game changer, I see other alternatives to that control.

You don't know why Micro didn't get/or sought another contract with Activision. If install bases were so determining then Micro wouldn't have gone for those contracts continuously in the past gen.

I will say, the xbox elite controller is the weakest of the 4 points. I was mainly trying to find something besides the obvious, 'price cut'.

3. The Xbox elite controller. Don't tell me those 13 year olds crazy over Cod don't want a controller like this. All of them want any type of advantage they can possibly have, even if that means just 3 extra kills.  They will beg their poor parents to buy them the Elite controller. Some might say, "But it's $150 why would you buy that?" Most controllers with similar features run for $200+, and you're getting an official controller by MS, not some 3rd party company.

I think Call of Duty players will be more concerned about this:

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/how-sony-won-call-of-duty-dlc-exclusivity-away-fro/1100-6428490/

over anything else.

I don't know who will sell better this Xmas, but if Micro really wants to win they should bundle every Xbone with a PS4 for $299.

These clans will eventually move to the next-gen system and what do you think they'll buy? A PS4. It won't be that hard. And eventually as people move to PS4, PlayStation will be the home for the best COD players.
