I'm sure M$ would have paid for that in full and note embarrass Sega by prancing them on stage and asking for money for them.

If between the last GOW game 14 years would've gone by (I'm sticking with GOW because it has followed one continuous story throughout its games)? If the last GOW that was made was a collossal flop? If nobody was willing to actually fund a new GOW in all that time? You know what? I'd say good for them, because reviving an apparently financially unviable franchise after all that time is not something that any publisher is obliged to do.

Because MS was completely new in the game and tried their hands on both hardware and software. If they had only focused on hardware and infrastructure in the form of Xbox live then Sega could have made all the decisions regarding software. MicroSega :).

What's bullshit about it? M$ didn't want to do 3, so they didn't. It's a no or a yes. Not a feed the charity campaign.

Sega let this happen, so it's Sega's fault. M$ gets no credit for anything, but they didn't make me feel embarrassed. Sony can't get blamed for anything, stop being silly. 

As a Sega fan this is embarrassing.

Why? They don't want anything to do with the franchise so they let others use the IP. It would be good if some other companies did this too... *cough* capcom *cough* konami

A lot of stuff that Sega does nowadays should be pretty embarrassing to their fans, this is one thing where I really don't see that being the case, the series was never profitable for them, so what reason did they have to finish it? They at least let Suzuki use the Shenmue IP for this instead of creating another Mighty No.9, Bloodstained or Yooka-Layle situation.

You know that the Kickstarter is a Suzuki/Sega thing, right? Sony didn't do it, they just took care of the marketing and will maybe fund it later. But the Kickstarter is Suzuki/Sega's idea...
