Ya without it reaching 10 million it won't even be the Shenmue game some fans wanted.

FF remake and Shenmue 3 will definitely disappoint a sizable portion of their audience.

FF7R will be glorious, you shut your mouth.

I agree, I didn't like it either. At the biggest gaming conference of the year, we have Sega begging for money on stage.

Sega is not involved in this and not a single time they mentioned sega on stage, sega did not beg for money. I dont know what conference you guys watch.

That is the problem right there and that is why Sega has failed this franchise and it made Suzuki look like a begger.

I'm gonna reply for the bolded statements only.

1st one is simple: because MS doesn't have much fanbases in Japan. Moreover, Capcom used to be giant game company but now they're just a shadow of their former self. So of course they too have a pride

2nd one;

I'll be buying DMC4 SE just to show them I want the former white-haired one with his team, not some jerk-emo-gothic dude from DmC and I want continuation from 4 and not the reboot one. But I can't say this as the whole fans. Most of the fans may not forgiving Capcom anymore and seeing their double release of 'Definitive Edition' of both DmC and DMC4 are downright pathetic and money begging. Sure they also provide a special survey inside the game but it's too late. They have paid the price for not listening to the fans and the loss is too much.

So do you feel that it wouldn't be in Microsoft's best interest to have a diversified portfolio of games?

Imagine the announcement at Gamescom:
"Devil May Cry 5 is coming exclusively to XB1."  Sony isn't coming to Gamescom so that will sink in over the next three months until Sony makes their announcements at Paris Games Week.

What's with all this irrelevant information?

MicroSega would be one company and Sega software would be funded by big daddy M$.

 Blah blah blah

Let me try this again. What I quoted was a guy saying that if M$ and Sega became one  gaming company. If they were one company, they would share the same funds. I was stating the obvious. Read everything Puppyroach said, then maybe it'll become more clear.

Then that would be like Rise of Tomb Raider meltdown all over again, only this time Capcom would definitely loses their fans more.

We all know how niche JRPGs on Xbox right? Most of the DMC fans are from Playstation.

I'm sure M$ would have paid for that in full and note embarrass Sega by prancing them on stage and asking for money for them.

Susuki wanted the kickstarter though....

And knowing that, he still looked like he was hungry and didn't have fresh clothes to wear on a daily basis and my shame to be a Sega fan still resides.

lmao this is entertaining

Sega let this happen, so it's Sega's fault. M$ gets no credit for anything, but they didn't make me feel embarrassed. Sony can't get blamed for anything, stop being silly.

As a Sega fan this is embarrassing.

Unfortunately, Sega just love to kill their beloved franchises. Most of my favorite titles are from Sega (hint: avatar & sig) but they just don't know how to take care of their fanbase. Kinda like where Konami is headed.

I mean there is a reason why we thought Sega owning Atlus was a bad idea. Thank heavens nothing bad happened in that marriage so far. lol!

Everyone already knows that I don't care for the way that Yu/Sony/Sega handled this thing. I know I'm not buying it on my PS4, but I'm not even sure where I stand on getting the PC version legitimately. This whole situation has soured an event that I've been looking forward to for a long time.

No let me try this again because you are clearly not getting it.  It would be awesome if M$ and Sega joined forces where M$ was making the hardware and Sega was providing the software just like you stated.  Oh wait, that is called the original XBOX!!  Haven't you wondered why the original XBox controller was strikingly similar to the Sega Dreamcast controller?  That's because Sega was helping Microsoft develop their hardware while providing software as well.  Have you ever heard of a game called Shenmue II?  That game was exclusive to XBox and Sega Dreamcast.  Oh wait!  That is relevant information to what we are discussing in this thread (Shenmue 3)!!

Yet here you are stating this: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=7389129

Out of the three major conferences (Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft), you would almost guarantee that Shenmue 3 would come out exclusively on Xbox due to the great partnership with Sega, and Sony would be the last company since they are rivals.  Microsoft had 14 YEARS to provide full funding of this project yet we see Sony providing funding and providing exposure on their E3 floor.  So you have a partnership between Sega and Microsoft but where is this full funding from Microsoft?  Stop making false claims and actually read the truth instead of writing "blah blah blah".

I thought all of this information was rather obvious, which is why I skipped over it and provided recent examples of where Microsoft could have funded games but chose to look the other way.  Blame Microsoft for leaving Yu Suzuki out to dry for the past 14 years.  Sony was simply the company to pull him off the street and give him a job.
