So PS4 has started of to a great start.SONY have laid back a little bit and seemed to become lazy to a certain extent over the last 6months to 1year after the great PS4 launch and great PS3 comeback

Now SONY isn't anywhere near its GODLY and TITANIC days where it was the biggest Consumer Electronics Company and by far the most recognized.It has gone down significantly after the blunders of the last 10 years and increasing competition from American and Korean Companies.

BRAVIA,PLAYSTATION,XPERIA,SONY ERICSSON,WALKMAN,BLU-RAY,etc all went to shit,may it be because SONY becoming arrogant as all successful companies do or because of JAPAN high manufacturing costs,exchange rates fluctuations,Korean cheap labour and competitiveness,CHINA slave labor costs,SONY becoming old and visionaries dying,american dominance and BIG money with APPLE and MICROSOFT,21st century pop culture of buying the popular products not the best quality product.

But there seems to be some life still left in the Old DOG.And it could be on the return and cud even comeback full-time.SONY might be on its comeback track with KAZ HIRAI & HOWARD STRINGER ouright cutting off its wounded parts,Sony could be lean and mean again.Also JAPAN starting to gain some of its freedoms back that were taken away after WORLD WAR 2 and alot of the SONY Old BOYS making their opinions heard as they care for SONY and also the PAX-AMERICANA And monopolistic and unfair practices of USA and EUROPEAN counter-parts die with the New World Order emerging.SONY cud thrive for a lot longer if the revamp is succesful and SONY cud whether the STORM and come back in the new age STRONG.

Why I discuss all this is because SONY itself the way it has been for the last 10 years cannot take on the burden of all out competing for a long time as they don't have the massive arsenal they once used to have to back them up when they are fallen.You can easily see this with Nintendo that as a Gaming company itself,they are struggling and will find themselves increasing sidelined.

Most of the World in every way or form is unifying and making blocks and unified universes may it be group of countries,culture,reiligion or in this case technology

APPLE has iOS

Samsung has Android but will finally move on to Tizen

Microsoft has Windows Metro

SONY seemed to have SEN but they seem to have faultered and now revamping

Google has Android and Chrome

Today compete in today's world in technolgy,you need to be unified and have big content deals andbig backing to provide users a constant and smooth service.

Out of all those,Apple is outright dominating everybody.As of now it only seems Google and Samsung can take on Apple.But even Microsoft with the size the wealth of the company could easily take own atleast on the financial stage.SONY cud easily take on anyone of them 10 years ago,it was a titan back then but close to 20-30billion in losses,SONY is nowhere near where it was back then.All its brands have been tarnished but still have a legendary global Image and Goodwill and has big quality standards.

So Lets see with all this where SONY and PLAYSTATION go in the next few years.

Now,PS4 was successfull because SONY is a global brand unlike Nintendo and Microsoft and PLAYSTATION is the biggest gaming brand for the last 20 years outright.PS2 was legendary console and in noway anything other than PS3 was gonna win HD Generation even if the contender delivered big time.But because PS3 bombed because of price,delay,manufacturing problems,game delays and exclusives lost because SONY became arrogant after all those years.And hence WiiU because of its Innovative console and cheaper price and more casual console similar to PS2's casual popularity and Nintendo's brand power and legendary gaming franchises won the HD generation.And On the other hand X360 gave PS3 a BIG TOUGH fight allout the generation to come from being the smallest gaming BRAND to becoming iconic.Microsoft's BIG pockets helped as  X360 snatched every BIG exclusive associated with PLAYSTATION brand and even GIGANTIC marketing and discount bundles helped it in addition to 1 year head-start

Now even after the biggest blunder in gaming history and one of the biggest in corporate history,PS3 still clawed back to defeat X360 before the start of Generation 8 and came close to 10million of beating Wii.When Generation 7 started,people became arrogant and without mush wisdom and vision thought Wii would beat PS2 and X360 would easily beat PS3 and PS3 would be Gamecube and SONY would go bankrupt and SONY will never again get exclusives and will be last brand in gaming from now on and Wii2 and XBOX 720 wud be the biggest things on the planet and Call of Duty was bigger than Grand Theft Auto.Well anybody who had followed gaming for longtime,was experienced and was intuitive and visionary quickly saw through all these illusion and knew how alot of casuals following XBOX 1 and Gamecube had suddenly become core gamers and knew everything not just about gaming but about the world.

But reality struck and Wii crashed long before its successor,X360 also slowed down considerably and showed its brand weakness and PS3 and SONY legendary effort with PS3 First party line-up gave them 2nd place in Generation 7.Call of Duty got beat to shit by GTA,WiiU bombed and XBONE had a terrible start,SONY never went bankrupt and acutallyu is now on track for record profits in 10-15years.PS4 is on track to replicate PS2 and even beats PS2's dominance.Nintendo is struggling on all ends except a little bright spot called 3DS and Microsoft ahve gotten some sense kicked into them on their own or by their shareholders that just wasting money on something MICROSOFT panicked about 15 years ago doesn't make sense that SONY would outright dominate LIVING ROOM space and also competitiion frm Google,Android,Apple have made Microsoft think hard and in many ways just seem to have given up.

Now obviously SONY global brand power and legacy helped SONY big time and PLAYSTATION being the biggest brand globally helped it and it was natural that only becuase of SONY's own fuck-up that PS3 bombed,coming within 10million of beating Wii,if they had a good launch,lower price,games,exclusives and especially the PS2 brand power,PS3 would outright beat Wii.If somebody wud contest this,they are still living in delusional 2008 world of gaming.But alot of credit also has to go to the circumstances like LIVING AREA SPACE not being as BIG as companies hoped to cash in,otherwise MICROSOFT would have poured even more money,commen sense also helped as MICROSOFT realized than wasting money just because they have it doesn't make sense and public also normalized and undertsood quality over quality.Even the Technological changes helped as NDS and 3DS and WiiU Tablet weren't really anything revolutionary when comparing technologies and also APPLE,GOOGLE,SAMSUNG dominance and SONY,NINTENDO gaming dominance weakened MICROSOFT.

PS4 had a great start and as circumstances regarding price,difficulty making games,launch,manufacturing problems,games,exclusives from first party were resolved,PLAYSTATION went back to its default position No.1.

SONY and PS4 didn't even have to do much.Some people blaming Nintendo & WiiU and MICROSOFT & XBONE launch are agin not very realistic and poor visionaries as PS3 loss last gen was SONY's own fault.SONY and PLAYSTATION brand was tarnished but they repaired alot of it by PS3 performance in second half of its life and other than that SONY and PLAYSTATION were as it is even after Wii AND x360 Success,outright bigger brands globally.

Because of this the sales picked up and exclusives came back to PS4 and many of the traitors like japanese and some western devs just realized their own mistakes after their switch away from PLAYSTATION base platform didn't really benefit and even harmed them.So they all came back home.And this is just the beggining.

Now I think SONY has relaxed a bit in the last 1 year and could have really finsihed off XBONE completely this holiday season but they have had a good run and might have some secret plan.

Microsoft at this stage can easily comeback as SONY had not closed their lead outright.And with MICROSOFT's BIG pockets and american cut-throat capitalism could come and even beat SONY.I don't think that would happen but the possibility is there.Now alot of people and casual wannabe wisemen and oracles will come-out and say,thats bullshit as they are poor visionaries like they did last generation that Wii will beat PS2 and MICROSOFT would finish off SONY.MICROSOFT has alot of money and much much more flowing in every year.But I think they have understood to a large extent that wasting money is not the right way and also they sort of missed the boat as now GOOGLE,SAMSUNG AND APPLE have already come into the LIVING SPACE and will go allout into the future and for MICROSOFT to take on them would be very difficult so they are either quitting or thinking of an entirely new plan.Also shareholders not being happy and XBOX not performing as good and XBOX sale rumors and suggestions all add to it.

All this has helped SONY,it can easily beat Nintendo and Microsoft but just beating themin gaming itself will not help as gaming will soon become part of mainstream product like TV inbuilt console or game streaming.So SONY have to win in Gaming but Also have to turn-around company and even totally launching new TV brand and Service and Products as they need a Unified Universe to keep the users with their brand for long-term sustainability.

Anyways,quite a long thread.Now i will map out how SONY will play out its plans over the next 5-10years and what all difficulties it might have.

Geez, nobody is going to read all that, but going through your predicted release schedule there are some things you mention twice and others that are just so completely out there that I have difficulty believing that you're serious about them.

Yep that's too long, try to summarize your thoughts... Even for a blog that would be too long.

But yeah, in short this last year was kind of meh for Sony (not counting 3rd parties marketing exclusivity because reasons), with still only one AAA notable 1st party game, but what a game! They indeed probably released the best first party game of the year, which will win many GOTY IMO: Bloodborne.

Dreams may surprise though and Uncharted collection is still good to have (for fans and 360 newcomers) to finish the year.

Not gonna lie I kind of skimmed through the first half but some good points about how PS is clearly Sony's best product and how other major businesses have other products to rely/fall back on.

I agree about those japanese traitors. Sony shouldn't have left them come back, though. They should pay their heresy of releasing games on other consoles and block them the doors forever, Sony doesn't need those devs!
