I hate threads like this, because they list bait. Nothing's worse than seeing people trying to prove how good a console is by listing upcoming games, as if every game is a big deal or even relevant.
Not really.
I just recently acquired a Wii and it must have been difficult to be a Nintendo console owner between 2006 and 2011. So few titles are actually good.

Wait, the Wii era was? How is that so? It had some really excellent games and some of the motion control games were really great imo. What was wrong with the Wii era?

Nothing. It just had the lowest overall quality of games, all controlled with on of the worst controllers in Nintendo history. Not necessarily bad. Definitely had a better line up of exclusives than the Wii U franchise wise, but definitely the worst.

So I'm not a gamer if I think motion controls are better than Splatoon?
Wii > Wii U :P

if there were Nintendo home consoles that provided less value than the Wii U then it must have been terrible- I actually like the Wii U hardware and a few of its games but Nintendo did very little to execute on its vision for it and did less than the bare minimum providing software for it considering they could not maintain/manage virtually any 3rd party support- it was very clear Nintendo did not believe in their own platform this generation and it became evident in the industry and the marketplace pretty quickly

Actually, as a Wii owner I had a fantastic time prior to 2011, and until that year was never short on good games to play.
