Forums - Gaming - Microsoft is Expecting Huge Xbox One Sales from backwards compatability

Of course they're expecting huge sales. People have been holding off all year. They need to release all that pent up money in one big blast all over Microsoft's face cum holidays.

Wow, what an incredibly inaccurate clickbaity article, but then I see who the OP is and am not surprised.
Well, at least we have learned that "a string" can mean two (2) games.

Most people don't sold there old consoles so backward compatibility won't have big effect on Xbox one

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

What are you saying man? BC is the biggest gamechanger of them all, it's going to move billions of consoles!!

(Seriously though, no offense to anyone, but it annoys me so much how people are overreacting to this whole BC announcement. How can you essentially reduce MS's conference to that?)

Because it just so logical that a person who has a X360 which plays all X360 games will all of a sudden decide to get rid of it and purchase XOne so he can play only a portion of those games.

I could see Microsoft advertising this and tricking people into upgrading before they realize what it really means (to be fair... like Sony did with the Vita initially).

Its not that Sony had a bad line up its just the days of announcing something then waiting 1-2 year is ending. This year and last year Sony really have nothing hopefully they have learned this.

Why would they? They'll likely continue to sell the most home consoles, and they generated the most publicity at E3 to boot. It's not like they've been punished so far, so why change?

Sony has
battlefront advertising,
Call of duty advertising
Hitman advertising
Just cause 3 advertising
Assassins creed advertising
Uncharted collection
Metal gear solid advertising
Price cut

Does anyone really think Sony is going to lose by hundreds of thousands? Like last year?
