Forums - Nintendo - Will we see Metroid this E3?

It is very likely.Dont know if you have seen, but the new game shown at nintendo world championship exalates metroid

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Yeah, at least I hope so!

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Yes. Believe... ; )

In some form, yes.

I'm thinking a situation similar to Prime-Fusion, where one is a 3D Metroid on home console and the other is a 2D Metroid on handheld. They've said they want to do this, so we'll see.

But if not, then I think at least one is fairly likely.

I was thinking how awesome it would be if they did this again. Simultaneous release for both games - Metroidgasm! It seems the time might be right for it, given the Kotaku interview a year ago.

Fingers crossed.

It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

Yep. In what form? I really don't know.

I am going in expecting nothing as Nintendo seems to just... well be Nintendo when it comes bringing in what people are hoping for.

I'll go with yes.

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

Yes, and I would love for it to be a Metroid Prime on the Wii U (that said I would settle for a 2D Metroid on the Wii U or 3DS).

I actually can't believe that a Prime hasn't been made for the Wii U yet. The scan visors are pretty much the best application for the gamepad that I can think of on the Wii U. I'm actually really surprised that Metroid Prime 4 wasn't a launch title on the Wii U as it could have been a very good showcase for using the gamepad.

And a good visual showcase; one of the biggest problem with Wii U's launch is that it released without a compelling argument for it being more powerful than last gen's big dogs.
