Just like the last time they tried the 8 ball....oh wait.

“Microsoft was focused on the shot after the one they needed to make, putting the 8-ball in the corner pocket, but they missed the first shot and didn’t get another shot after it. Sony focused on the shot they needed to make, which was win the hearts and minds of the gamer. The broader scope of entertainment might be a bigger idea, but not with an unfocused execution. A tight execution on the 50 million people that matter, which are the people currently lapping up consoles … Sony fucking nailed it, and they deserve the victory.”

That article means nothing to me. As a owner of both PS4 and Xbox One when it comes to games Microsoft has nailed it. I play games, I dont play sales.

HAte to break it to you...23 million ps4 owners play games and ps4 has more of them..What exclusives have you been playing on your xbox in 2015? Oh right none. Meanwhile ps4 has the highest rated exclusive. I doubt you even own a ps4 your posts drip with rabid fanboyism. PS4 is dominating the sales charts is software looks like they play games too.  More exclusives, more indie support, better multiplats, more variety on ps4.

Crush Playstation? This is a bandaid so MS can say "US Too", you need a powerfull; PC, Oculus Rift, an x1 to stream Some games in virtual theatre...good luck getting the masses buying into this.  It is expensive, convoluted and pointless. VR has a battle as it is to take off, what MS is doing here is laughably desperate to have some kind of presence in VR, without doing any legwork themselves. This will flop hard.

Typical MS, dont want to be innovative and push new tech, instead sit back let others be first to market and jump in late if it takes off.....Typical MS of the last 20 years, always too late and jumping on others ideas. This is a joke solution as MS really has no VR.

Crush it in the forums maybe. But unless it magically makes Europe buy more Xbox's sorry aint gonna happen.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I don't think Morpheus has any additional processing to assist the ps4 except for maybe sound processing and other processing related directly to the headset. As far as I know there is no high speed data port on the ps4 that could create a high bandwidth connection between Morpheus and the PS4. However the ps4 is already designed with huge memory bandwidth and a pretty capable gpu. It's already setup to provide superior VR performance to xbone by a reasonable margin.

VR is the future but how many generations before acceptance. A virtual world that appears almost as real as real life is clearly something that will be more exciting than conventional 2D displays etc. VR is so obviously the future but at what point in the future. There were people that thought television wouldn't take off as radio was good enough and that colour television wasn't much better than black and white. This is one of those occasions, there is absolutely no point thinking VR won't be the future its just a matter of when and for how long before the next upgrade. Perhaps virtual reality generated within your own mind once your mind has been genetically altered to create VR experiences for you. There are few people that want to go back to early entertainment devices like board games using pebbles or other early forms of entertainment.

The break out box that will come with PM does have it's own processors that run frame rate projection as well as split and form a 2d image to the tv for people watching, as well as additional sound processing.

Yeah, roomception is the s***.

In this day and age, with the Internet, ignorance is a choice! And they're still choosing Ignorance! - Dr. Filthy Frank

Ohh yep US based time magazine has to spread propaganda again for US companies, no suprise

Am I missing something here? How can the XB1 crush the PS4 with the Oculus Rift when the "Oculus Rift has been a PC-centric technology from the outset"?

In my honest opinion, I feel Microsoft is all over the place. What exactly are they pushing forward? Kinect 2.0, Hololens, or Oculus Rift? This lack of focus only creates uncertainty for the consumers buying these products.
