I hope its a direct sequel to Madworld. Anarchy Reigns did have better combat than Madworld, and the online was fun, but it is completely devoid of all the style from Madworld.

Why would Nintendo fund a sequel to the Wonderful 101? May as well light your money on fire. Maybe it's like a cheap digital followup or something.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Has it ever occurred to anyone that just for once.. This whole Platinum/Nintendo thing is about the games and not just money??

Platinum has said that they would love to be a second party studio to Nintendo. They want to continue working with their hardware, including the 3DS. They've also stated that sales wasn't the focus on making their games. Of course, easy for them to say when Nintendo is covering the tab, but Nintendo's passionate approach has obviously impressed them. From getting people from Sega to help them work on Bayo's development, when they were overwhelmed, and allowing them to use properties they're so protective of.

In my opinion, I wish we had more of these relationships in the industry. It shouldn't be about buying IPs, or buying studios to secure IPs. It should be about working together with studios, and show how much you care about said IPs to secure them in a healthy manner.

Or they know how to market it now (see: Splatoon).

Nintendo has always known how to market games. If they didn't they would have never launched a single successful title. Marketing or no marketing, Wonderful 101 was a niche Japanese game built for a very small audience. A giant marketing campaign isn't going to change anything.

Except it kind of is a business, not a charity.

Of course Platinum would like to by a Nintendo 2nd party. They are a studio on shaky financial ground that has to grovel to get funding from project to project.

Being an official Nintendo 2nd party would mean that they would have stable gaurunteed funding from a billion dollar company that they have a good working relationship with.

I mean would you rather have a job where you were on contract and could be let go any time, or would rather have a full time position where you're gaurunteed a salary and benefits?

The game development landscape is harsh these days.

Agreed. It's just refreshing to see a publisher take these risk with a smaller studio for the sake of good games, rather than constantly thinking "Nope, it won't sell". If The Wondeful 102 turns out to be a thing, then good for it's smaller fanbase and good for Platinum/Nintendo for once again taking a risk on a good game that wasn't appreciated by many.

http://www.amazon.de/Bayonetta-1-2-First-Print/dp/B00NBPD8ZK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1433899458&sr=8-3&keywords=bayonetta 2

Its 23 new copies. Collectors edition are supposed to sell out but it hadnt

Mate seriously I'd advise you to step away from the keyboard as it's starting to become comical that link doesn't show anything in the bargain bin it's clear you don't know what a basic sales term like that means, you posted a link to a copy being sold for higher then its retail price, you're literally proving what I said is correct and arguing against yourself here.

The's 1 in stock on that page and to add to it click on the link that says 23 new and you'll see it's a group of resellers like the first page, it's like you don't understand Amazon as much as the term bargain bin.

First of all you dont provide any proof or link that the ps360 version of bayonetta 1 ended up being bargin bin you just saying it was after 1 week, yeah sure .

And like i said a collectors edition espacially the most rarest is supposed to be sold out like bloodborne has or mgs5 was despite not even out yet (both also are way more expensive than bayonetta 2).

And if we talk about price instead the amount of units sold then its a fact that bayonetta 1 on ps360 was a 60$ launch title while bayonetta 2 had all kinds of versions like the cheapest version only with bayonetta 2, or with the first game for a little bit more money. The costliest version is the first print that costed originally 60$/€ thats how much bayonetta 1 costed on ps360 lol.

So the bayonetta 2 allready was priced way belower than bayonetta 1 was last gen, isnt that almost at bargain bin level isnt it? so if you add in this and the fact that bayonetta 2 sold poorly in comparison to the first game on ps360 then its obviously a huge commercial failure on wiiu.

TW101 is great game. If the new game is TW102 i will be very happy

Been waiting years (okay at least 1 year) since they said that.

You would have been better off stepping away from the keyboard as now you've dug a hole you can't get out of, it's common knowledge the original was in bargain bins which is why Sega didn't want to fund the second game. Here is a community thread the PS site one month after Bayonetta arrives and see how it's discussed the game being 15-17 quid a month after release from various retailers as well, Best Buy, Play.com etc.. people were shopping for bargains in the thread the are even people linking the retailers.

Now that is a month after release, February 2010,  you yourself posted a link to resellers of Bayonetta 2 selling the game above retail price do you know what this means? It's sold out and being sold by owners of the copy for profit who have already bought it, we've established that the original game dropped in price and was being sold by retailers for 17 quid and you say the original game launched at 60 quid right.

So in other words one month after launch the game was being sold for 43 quid less then what it launched at and this was when it's combined sales were at around 400k or so, mean while Bayonetta 2 almost 9 months later is still at full price meaning all sales have given full returns while sales of the original after a month was sold at a loss of 43 quid. You're out of your league on this one as this is what the term bargain bin means you're better off learning about the term then coming back to humiliate yourself even more, these are rattled responses you're throwing out now as they have no coherant logic in the argument so make little sense on top of being wrong.
