I get what you mean. I don't mind colorful kiddy games but I think that the fact that this is a Japanese game with Squids is a huge missed oportunity to have taken advantage of Tentacle Erotica.

Mario Kart 8
Mario 3D World
Lego City Undercover
Bayonetta 1,2
Smash Bros.
Wind Waker HD
Hyrule Warriors
Splatoon
Captain Toad
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
Arkham City Armored Edition
Wonderful 101
Deus Ex Director's Cut
Pikmin 3.

Every other game is icing on the cake.

Backwards Compatibility
Slowly growing (but nice) Virtual Console

Lowest price of all 8 gen consoles.

So if it were realistic it would be better? Do you play America's Army? That's one of the most realistic shooters, although it's falling behind in graphics again. There is nothing real about COD in any way. 

 I play USMC, so I don't care about Splatoon lol

The graphics for USMC are amazing, but there's not much gameplay ;)

Splatoon really doesn't feel like a game you would watch on Twitch, so I don't think that that is a good metric.



I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

No. Nintendo brought us with Wii U nothing new. Look at PS4 and Xbox One, this is Next Gen!


Note: Before you understand this wrong - Wii U is a good console with awesome games, no doubt. But I am missing features like recording gameplay or a trophy (or something else) system on Wii U. Wii U feels exactly like Wii imo. To answer the op - Spatoon is not THE REASON to buy a Wii U, but it is a good exclusive game.

lol As far as gameplay goes I barely noticed a transition from late last-gen games (2013) and this generation (now we're in 2015.) If consoles didn't exist, and the games were only released on PC I would feel like there wasn't one to be honest. I guess for console gamers you finally get to play games at 1080p (most of the time) but that's pretty much the only difference. Even games which were described as fully open-world aren't really (Dragon Age Inquisition and The Witcher 3 - both great games by the way) whereas Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U is.
