Halo wars 2 impressions. This is gunna be a hit. Getting compared to Warcraft 3 and 90's CaC. They are all loving the story too. I still believe a 84-86 final score though. It will get docked for being halo and having 1 blitz map by some.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

Effects of this thread include sadness at it's deeply ironic undertone...

I'm waiting to buy it. I need to play Halo Wars 1 first, and I can't afford $80 for the deluxe edition that comes with both. I'll grab Halo Wars Definitive Edition whenever it goes on sale separately, then grab Halo Wars 2 when it's on sale at some point for $30 or less.

CDKeys was offering the UE for $63.99

I'm not sure if it will work on Xbox One though.

By the way, I see a lot of CDKeys offers for new PC games? Is it a trusted store?

Halo Wars 2 really needs to release on Steam if they don't won't to let the multiplayer be dead on PC.

Sadly enough yes they do unless it gets mid 90's on metacritic and causes people to flock over to the Windows store due to the praise it gets, The most shocking part to me is how Microsoft havn't bothered to launch the Windows 10 store as a full on competitor to the likes of steam yet, I really expected to be able to run all the third party games through Windows 10 store and carry on with achievments by now. It doesn't even have to be a requirement for Play Anywhere but they should of launched Windows 10 Store as a full on platform by now in my opinion.

The only reason I can think why they seem to have no interest in doing so is price (outside of US anyway) AAA games in the UK/EU launch at like £39.99 digital on PC where as the prices are still massivly jacked up on consoels to £54.99 or even £59.99 and If they launched a full platform through the Windows 10 store they would have to have price parity across PC and Xbox or face a massive backlash and they don't want to loose that money.

Halo Wars 2 & Sea of Thieves won't be cross-play with PC gamers? Why?

Yeah, Windows Store is in kind of a sorry state. Like you, I expected the big 3rd parties to start releasing on Windows Store by now and most of them haven't. Obviously MS isn't incentivizing them enough, they must be taking a higher percentage of each sale than Steam charges or something. If MS doesn't fix Windows Store soon, they really do need to just partner up with Valve in order to release on Steam while still keeping crossplay support and Xbox Live functionality.

Yea pretty much if they could be loosing quite a lot of sales with the state of the Windows Store, No doubt that Forza Horizon 3 could of been another 500k copies sold more by now if they hooked it up on Steam. Halo Wars is a big games for PC users also and would greatly benefit from it as well, Hopefully sometime soon they will have a proper go at the Windows Store but it's looking less likely they will longer time passes.

Sure I can see mouse+keyboard players having some advantage over controllers but so what? They made Gears of War 4 social playlist cross-play a while ago and I think it's a way to go. I don't have problems with m&k users, some of them are worse players and I can beat them. They should just make it so Xbox gamers have the option to turn off matchmaking with pc crowd.

The more the merrier! 😊

They should add cross play to Halo Wars 2.
