Terrible month. I fell into some kind of gaming depression last week, where every game I played and even watching my usual YouTube gaming channels bored me to death. Probably due to the fever I had, but yeah I had 5 days at home and couldn't play more than 10min a day before I giving up. It's getting a bit better now though.

Started and finished Giana Sisters. Alright platformer, but very playable while watching some videos or shows.
Started and finished Homefront The Revolution. As I already mentioned, a pretty solid game. Had a good time with it.
Started and finished (1000G) Brothers. I still hate that game. I think it's terrible. At least it didn't glitch out on me this time, so there was no need to repeat one of the levels. Terrible controls and puzzles that are extremely obvious and simple make this game just bad gameplay-wise. At least it's good looking, but thank god I didn't need to finish the story to get all the achievements.
Also finished: Reagan Gorbachev, OlliOlli2, Energy Cycle and Harms Way (which I couldn't finish on 360, since I wasn't a Gold member back then).

CoD MW Remaster is a fantastic update of the original that is visually far better than Ghosts, but obviously not quite on the level of Advanced Warfare. This would easily be worth $40 or more if it was available to buy without IW, but It was recently available with IW for 25€. That's a steal. Can't judge IW, only played one level (in Spanish...).

I'm going on vacation tomorrow (Denmark and a little bit of Sweden), so I won't be playing anything, well maybe some Windows 10 stuff on my laptop.
After that I will try to finish CoD MW. Also playing more of Ryse and other games, that hold my HDD space hostage. The amount of stuff I had to delete and install this past month has been insane. 40+GB for Dishonored 2, 65+GB for CoD MW, 45+GB for CoD IW, ~50GB for FFXV and some "smaller" ones.

(June '16: 301 achievements - 6,770G)

Very good month, especially when you consider that I wasn't even at home for the first 5 days of the month.
Completed tons of games this month. FIFA 17 (Journey), Typoman, SpeedRunners, Ryse, Refunct, Active Soccer 2 DX, Her Majesty's Spiffing and The Turing Test.

The Turing Test is a really good first person puzzle platformer similar to Portal or Q.U.B.E.. The game features about 70 puzzle sectors, some of them containing more than one puzzle. Took me 6h45min to 1000G, which only consists of beating the game and completing the 7 optional puzzles. The puzzles are decently challenging and never unfair. I never got stuck in a room for more than 15min. Graphics are extremely good, though there are some technical issues in some specific environments and the game has to load between each of the puzzle sectors. 8.5/10

Typoman is a puzzle platformer as well, but in 2D. Sadly the platforming is extremely simple. You create words to solve puzzles and sometimes the game is really clever, but at other times the words have to be really specific. Took me 5 hours to finish. 7/10

Refunct is THE definition of a platformer. No enemies, just getting to the next platform, activate a button and continuing to the next. The game can be played calmly, but there are achievements for completing the games in 8 and in 4 minutes, which takes some practice runs. The game is really nice to look at and controls perfectly. It's short, cheap and enjoyable 8/10

In Party Hard you need to kill everyone without being identified as the murderer at several different party locations. The idea is good, but the game has a few elemental flaws. There are about 50 people on each party that need to be murdered. There are traps that can help you, but there are too few of them in the levels. You can maybe kill 10 to 15 of them with traps and the other 35 (or 40) must be killed with your basic weapon (knife). The main character is very slow and thus you'll lose almost every chase with the police (or FBI). Then it's game over and you have to restart the whole level. 7/10

Ryse: Son of Rome
. Finally finished it last month. As already mentioned way back, the game looks absolutely stunning. Sadly gameplay, while not bad, is pretty repetitive. A lot of that comes from the maybe 5 or 6 different enemy types. Since each guy within an enemy type looks completely identical, you will quickly know what kind of attack will or won't work. I feel like they could've gone further with the story and introduce mythic creatures. After all it's really not aiming to be realistic if you know the end of the story. I played the game for 12h45min, mostly completing the story, getting all collectibles (of which there are too many...) and fighting in only a few multiplayer arena matches. I enjoyed the game for what it was. 7.5/10

Already recommended Her Majesty's Spiffing some pages ago. Funny point and click adventure. Only 2h30min to fully complete, but a worthwhile experience. Basically as long as your typical adventure game episode. If you can get it in another sale, go for it. 8/10

As for the current month, I'll try to complete Letter Quest, CoD MW Remastered (for real this time) and maybe finally start Quantum Break.

It seems that the game isn't ready yet and maybe it won't be even ready by November when it releases. Also I don't think it will benefit that much by releasing in July instead of November.

Do you know how many games that dropped in November had to have a price cut just to survive the holiday season?

We talk about Crackdown 3. And after E3 ended it doesn't seem that this game generated a lot of hype. And a lot of people who was interested in it were dissapointed with downgrade. I think it is safe to say that it will flop regardless when it will be released. I don't see it selling even 1 million physical.

Do you? You could have just told him if you want to make an argument. Most games are on sale during holiday season, I have no idea how many of them have to do it just to survive though.

I've stated this numerous times. The laucnhes do not fare will in November unless they are COD of the primary Battlefield or Battlefront. November is now bad territory for anyone who decided to launch between the period. A bunch of launch games were put on sale early because they could not compete with COD or Battlefield one last year. This year is battlefront and COD's year. It will not be good. It doesnt matter if the game is exclusive or multiplat.

Yes I know about your habit of stating things numerous times :) Titanfall is the only game I can think of that really got hurt competing against COD and Bäfä1. Final Fantasy XV sold well, Watch Dogs struggled but that had lot to do with negativity around original WD I think. Then there's Dishonored which did ok I guess. So what is this bunch of launch games?

Fallout 4 sold great against Black Ops III and Star Wars Battlefront. All of these games were on sale during holidays though.

Anyway, I'd imagine there is a reason why Microsoft choses to release games during holiday season. Think of Halo Wars 2 and Quantum Break. That's what would happen to Crackdown if it was released in July I believe. September or October might be ok but there's competition too.

The people who said it was downgraded were people who didn't like Xbox or certain Sony fans, from what I heard Crackdown was always a cel-shaded video game series so this should be normal. Saying it already flop is pretty much jumping the gun, a holiday release is good and will sell better than the likes of Quantum Break and maybe Halo Wars 2. Sunset Overdrive benefitted from a holiday release back in 2014 and sold better than QB.

This might apply to Destiny 2 as well since there isn't much hype for the game since the first one was a disappointment content wise.

heh I just unlocked the "scarab lord" achievement in mcc yesterday. I used a guide from trueachievements app of course. You had to lure a banshee into a tunnel, shoot off the wings, lure it into another tunnel, hijack it and then fly up to this huge building. I mean, who the fuck was the first one to figure out how to find this scarab gun? :D Many of these Halo easter eggs seem impossible to find. It's fun to hunt them with a guide though.

Crackdown has indeed always been a cell shaded game. No idea who was expecting ultra realistic graphics from that one...

Poor Battlefield and Calls of Doody, needing price drops every single November just to survive. I hope the devs are ok :(

I mean honestly, is there a SINGLE game that releases in November and does not receive a price cut? They all do it. What an irrelevant tangent you're going on.

I did it a different way. U move a little box to a certain spot, get on it and shoot ur rocket launcher in a certain nearby spot and it launches you into the air.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

Sales wise people shouldn't be expecting much from Crackdown 3. The original sold less than 2m and that was with a substantial boost from the Halo 3 beta. The 2nd game sold just over 1m copies and it released on a 45m+ install base, Crackdown 3 is releasing on an install base of just over 30m by comparison.

Yep I agree, if it sells 1m of physical copies I don't think it should be considered a flop at all. Microsoft will probably go easy on marketing budget too so it should be profitable.

Well that sounds far less complicated heh. It took me a good while to get that damn banshee through the tunnel.
