I find it crazy that Black Ops 2 charted 10th for April NPD numbers. Seems like Backward compatibility is used by some

So I started Resident Evil 6 today. Finished the first chapter of Leon's campaign and I can definitely see why it was reviewed in the high 60s.

The game is long, like really long. That's not bad per se, but when playing the first chapter of only one of the 4 campaigns already feels long, then that's a problem. Chapter 1 took me 1h30min to beat, according to HowlongtoBeat.com the whole game takes 22 hours to complete.

Enemies are bullet sponges. Why? The most basic zombie can take 3 pistol headshots or almost a whole clip in the chest to die. That's far too much, especially when zombies in other RE games are much weaker. That's just the basic enemies though, the mini boss ones are pure tanks that can sustain several headshots with pistols, headshots with shotguns, remote controlled bombs and incendiary grenades.

Health. Are you kidding me? You have a health bar with 6 blocks of health and every time you combine two green herbs you get 3 health items that only fill one block each (green and red herb = 6 items). That's not only annoying when you're low on health and want to completely heal yourself, but also hilariously inefficient, as enemies can even damage more than one health block per attack. Therefore you're running through the most of the game with only one or two health blocks. Also when you die, you're health is getting refilled, so when you encounter a checkpoint, just die on purpose.

My last RE game I completed was Revelations 2 and thus far RE6 is not coming close to that. Still, I'm not regretting my purchase. Will definitely try out the other campaigns, but Leon's first chapter didn't really impress me much and that campaign was considered the best of the bunch....

I'm playing it right now. Worst RE game in my opinion.

I agree with your points especially the first. I don't mind playing a game for 100+ hours provided it had story content or diverse, fun game play. But this game add extra corridors and enemies for the sake of prolonging the game it seems. You kill the same eneimea for an hour then you see a cut scene.

Hehe yeah the amount of doors to open that lead into new corridors in this game is insane. Then you get the slow door opening animation, even though in the vast majority of cases, there's no immediate threat on the other side. Out of those 22 hours, I bet 1 or 2 hours are just door opening cinematics lol.
Also thus far seen I haven't seen any indication when a door can be openend by yourself or when you need your partner to help opening it. Seems random.

I've always wanted to play 4x space games but haven't because I don't play pc games. I see this awesome game endless space 2 just released and I can't play it. I even checked to see if my laptop could play the first one on minimum(can't). Why do console games get the shaft so hard on these type of games.

So I finished the main story of Dead Rising 4 and played some multiplayer and Frank Rising dlc. I'm not good at writing reviews in english but I'll give it a shot.

This was my first Dead Rising game.  I wasn't prepared to be challenged by such a deep, intellectual and sophisticated story. It's like Fyodor Dostoevsky, Kurt Vonnegut, Hemingway and Gabriel García Márquez put their heads together to write this mind-blowing masterpiece :P

Gameplay: I played on hard difficulty and it was challenging enough but didn't get frustrating. I enjoyed running around killing zombies and searching for blueprints to create new insane combo weapons to kill more and more zombies. There's lots of collectibles around the open world but picking them up is fun since you can buy maps for their locations. And while you're at it, kill more zombies.

There's some tech issues. I think my game crashed twice so that's not too bad but zombies did get stuck on walls and many times I wasn't even able to kill them because hits wouldn't register. Sometimes the movement is clunky and controls aren't the smoothest either. But it doesn't matter too much since playing doesn't require much skill or precision.

Multiplayer: I didn't play it much yet, mainly because there doesn't seem to be many people playing it. And if someone joins your game chances are they're just noodling around completely clueless. I'm not sure if this multiplayer was necessary but hey, at least you get to kill more zombies. It's kind a like Chaos Squad from Sunset Overdrive.

Frank Rising: It's a good dlc I think. It picks up where the main story ended and introduces a whole new gameplay mechanics, for killing more zombies of course. You gave 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete it and the timer doesn't reset if you die. There's new collectibles and challenges to complete and by doing those you improve Franks abilities to make things easier. It's most likely impossible to collect and complete everything in one playthrought but that's not even the point. You have those improved abilities for your further playthroughs so there's replay value and it's fun to play.

Overall I think it's a good game and I'm happy to go back and unlock more achievements. I enjoyed the comedy and Frank is a great character. Kind a wish he was played by Bruce Campbell though.

7/10

According to NPD Forza Horizon 3 outsold Infinite Warfare on the Xbox One, wow that is a surprise :-O

Wow that's awesome, FH3 must have been a huge success. Expansion dlc seem to be doing well too, 8.52% of people who played it have unlocked the fist achievement for Hot Wheels. 13,31% unlocked the first achievement for Blizzard Mountain. That's pretty good imo :)

I don't Mind doing the thread.
