Personally this means nothing to me.

Mass appeal wise seems Sony wants to be the primary system in all markets similar to PS2 days.

I don't know how some people can drink Mountain Dew, it taste awful. Doritos is tolerable to some degree. Then again, I'm an arab and I don't get the deal behind the popularity of these two in the west. I prefer Cola or Pepsie with my Lay's chips. But good news for Sony if it's true.

Agreed. Just shows how important marketing is when it can convince people to buy and drink something as awful as Mountain Dew (granted some people genuinely do like the taste of it).

Fun fact: Pepsi, Lay's, Mountain Dew and Doritos are all owned by PepsiCo Inc.

great for sony if true but i just want bo3 to be a good cod game didnt spend much time online with the last two

if this is true i can see ps4 winning in sales even in us during the holidays even w/o a price cut they'll have ads for all the big games cod, starwars, destiny DLC, Assassins Creed, batman

I am not a massive fan of Cod these days, I still just about buy them, advanced warfare was entertaining. As for marketing, well if it's available on both, that doesn't change my opinion of the game. I used to be peeved about exclusive DLC, but as its a game that I haven't always purchased Day 1 and I don't care for DLC on it, it's never really affected me.

Now i would be more upset if Fallout 4 DLC was held back... after FO3...and having to wait 6 months... gah... that made me angry.

sony is becoming everything their fans have ridiculed the opposition for, if true of course.

I guess the CoD deal was the biggest thing for any plataform... and it helped 360 to do crazy numbers with bundles at holidays.

Well there is nothing bad if the deal shift for us PlayStation.

It is all good... I can't wait what a BO3 PS4 bundle can do... I saw the boost Xbone received last year with AW Xbone bundle.

Sony needs something since they're no longer the official console of USF4 in a tournament they're funding the prize money for.

So Star Wars Battlefront, AC London, Batman, COD, MGS V, and people still think Halo/TR will be enough to counter that ?

Exclusive marketing deals are a big thing, make a huge difference like Destiny, especially if you are the most popular console

Before you say anything , i talk only about sales here, since we are on vgchartz.

If you want to talk about exclusives, having exclusive marketing deals wont prevent them to have as much exclusive than the competitor.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

well I hope MS starts investing in Japanese 3rd parties and their own 1st party. Because that is pretty much all Sony is leaving them. Really lackluster from MS this gen.
