NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE. Never remaster that gem. Given square enix does act like it doesn't exist, so that is a plus, add into the fact it never had PC release.

But... that's what I want! A steam rerelease just like 7 and 8 got. Maybe port it to PS4 as well. It was a fantastic game, one of my favourites, but I want to actually be able to play it again in the future. Right now all I've got that can play it is my PS3 so once that's gone I can't play it ever again

The thing is, 7 and 8 had a PC release back in the day.

Oh as in like the PC versions of VII/VIII? They still haven't had PS4 releases though, would be nice if they put the 3 of them onto one bluray disc

Yeah, but not a digital release on steam. Surely it can't be that hard to port it over... right?

Eh, I rather they not tease us or do anything. Just whenever PSX support is back on PS4, we can play Final Fantasy IX on ps4. I will buy it, but I don't want any remastering, any reworking, any additions or subtractions. Don't need no trophies or achievements, nothing!
