hmm, not especially, at least not on the first run through. I can't remember if there was a difficulty setting, if there was I certainly set it to the easiest setting. You can replay the game after you beat it with harder boss fights and such...

Some people find the game to be lacking in the quality department. I haven't played the game myself(backlog), but I'm very picky with games, so I'm not sure.

I am generally pretty picky with my JRPG's and I thought the Last Story was pretty dang good. I'd rank it either second or third best of the last generation.

The answer is Earthbound. One of the greatest games ever made in my opinion. It's very original (even for today's standards), charming, wonderful plot and setting... I couldn't recommend it more. It's a truly unique experience.

hey guys, realistically, would you recommend these titles to someone who is a die hard "tales of... " fan? i know someone who is looking for games along the same lines of the tales game, but i have a hard time finding non-tales games to recommend.
