Chrono Trigger is pretty good. You can get it on PSN for $5. But the DS version is probably the definitive version as it has slightly more content.

I was thinking on downloading on the Wii VC but Nikom also recommend me the DS version.

The VC version is the SNES version which lacks a few things compared to its rereleases. Later on the PS1 got a version of Chrono with more content and stuff, and then finally a DS version was made which is considered by many fans of the game to be the best version. I agree, but I have the PSN version. But if you can get the DS version, go for it!

Out of those you downloaded... Earthbound, Super Mario RPG and Golden Sun stand out as the best.

Breath of Fire 1 and 2 are boring. Final Fantasy 3 sucks.

Get Chrono Trigger and Xenoblade Chronicles! If you liked SMT IV a lot then you may also consider Strange Journey.

What????

- Id advise to get the Wii and GC Fire Emblem games over the GBA ones. The home console ones are slightly easier like FE Awakening due to a mechanic that allows for earning bonus exp and using it to level up lower level characters.
The GBA ones are fine, but they dont kid around and will kill you if you dont level up the main characters well.

- Xenoblade is a definite must. If you can get around the graphics you will find a JRPG that is both refreshing and nostalgic both at the same time.

- The Golden Sun games are great, they employ typical turn based battles with puzzle filled dungeons that are actually puzzle filled and not walk fests (I cant stress this enough, why dont all JRPG dungeons have puzzles!!?!?!). The only down side with these games is that they are fairly easy.

- Never having played Chrono Trigger before I plunged into it on the DS for the first time. Not bad but not great either. Fairly standard stuff but probably was grand for its time.

- Last Story is ok, more of a cinematic RPG with real time battles. The only let downs its a small game, rather linear and predictable plot.

- Never played Mario Super Star Saga but have played all the Mario and Luigi games. They are fun but a tad simple and easy. I do like the turn based battles as they involve real time dodging and attacking. Not QTE but more arcadey.

- I hear good things about FF Tactics and FF Revenant Wings. My friend constantly tells me to play them. One day...

- Radiant Historia isnt really something I can recommend. The story was good but the gameplay just wasnt fun.

- The World Ends With You is a very interesting title. Very anime-y but also has a very unique battle system that requires using the stylus to attack and move in one hand, and using the other hand to control the second character.

- Bravely Default is good in my opinion. Plays like a classic JRPG of old with its turn based goodness. Great music and a goodish story but will say the pacing is absolutely terrible.

- There are plenty of Etrian Odyssey games. Havnt tried then but they are more dungeon crawling with very oldschool turn based battles.

Final Fantasy Tacticts is another one that has intrigued me.

Yes, Final Fantasy 3 (NES) sucks.

As for Final Fantasy VI, I think it's ok, not as great as people say.

DS Version is the best of both worlds. You get the new cinematics of the PS1 version. But none of the nasty battle load times that the PS1 release also introduced (really kills the pace of the game when you know you're about to get ambushed because the game freezes for a second or two while loading the battle engine.)

I might get it myself if the DS version gets rid of the nasty freezing from the PS1 version
