Some people find the game to be lacking in the quality department. I haven't played the game myself(backlog), but I'm very picky with games, so I'm not sure.

I am generally pretty picky with my JRPG's and I thought the Last Story was pretty dang good.  I'd rank it either second or third best of the last generation.
