Forums - Gaming - Ubisoft is just joking with us with AC: Syndicate.... i mean... they must be...

The setting makes it impossible for me to not compare this game to Dishonored, and that is not a favorable comparison for AC...

I watched the trailer and it has to be a parody video with that music. Anyway...

The more that games are pushing for realism, the more glaring the flaws of NPCs will become. Also, the older that gamers get, the less impressed they will be by computer animation, even though graphics are obviously continually improving.

It's not like previous AC games didn't have their fair share of ridiculous situations.

Yes, like how no one ever mentions how guards can parkour.

My fav was in the first game when the templar knights wearing full plate mail and wielding two-handed weapons jumped up and grabbed a hold with one hand and easily pulled themselves to the rooftops and started chasing you at high speed across town.

Most of these are extremely picky, they've actually added a decent amount of new stuff (that hopefully works).

I'd love for you to come up with new mechanics for an AC game that no game in the history of gaming has ever done.

Here's one instead of opting for one historical setting have the whoever is the future guinea pig sitting in the chair (forgot whats its called) go throught different historical timeline with different lead characters in each of them. Have the player the option to switch between them anytime. Boom there you go the first open world time travel game.

Of course im not a developer, but im sure alot of gamers would like to see that :P

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Not that I played it, but kind of sounds like Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions?

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Wasn't open world.  Each Spider-Man had his own set of linear chapters.

Also they'd probably be challenged to come up with multiple unique playing assassins outside of

A: Has Gun

B: Has horse.

C: Uses a hidden Katar type weapon instead the standard hidden blade but functions exactly the same.

So basically 4 small assassin's creed games in one? I like the idea of a massive world to be investede in, unless you want 4 unity sized maps in one game, which kind of would be a bit ridiculous if they managed to mess up unity I'd rather not let them handle something like that ;)

But again that's not a new gameplay mechanic, just a different way of storytelling and just stitching games together it will just be a bunch of (what people consider) bad/boring assassin's creed games in one.

That carriage chase was comical.

4 ≈ One

You can also hide in the carriages, surely no one will think of looking for you there! Also the chasing part with the carriage looks completely stupid. Maybe they didn't notice but there is a horse in front, that's bumping into eveythong without anything happenning. The story looks even less inspired than Unity.

Also could someone please explain why i see the same big bald guy with a white shirt enemy like twenty times in a few minutes of gameplay? Did they have cloning machine back then?

Lol. I guess you have never played ryse have you?

Haha no but fair to say had the same thing in other AC games to. In Black Flag you hade the exact same enemy's on overy ship.(only one type of big guy to). But it can't be that hard to atleast give a few a different haircut right? :-p.

dont make this personal, this is about the game.

obvious shitty AI is picky? a supposedly stealth kill then going into a brawl fight is picky? stupid and slow carriage chase sequences is picky? the lack of hunting down your target is picky now? if you dont remember that was one of the key features in the original, instead of improving on this they just made it a cut scene. the boring eagle vision is picky? pointing out how the game compeletly ignores its origin with the Assassins Creed is picky now? because last time i checked an Assassins Creed game is supposed to be about you know... The Assassin's Creed.

reality is i havent spoken anything that isnt true, and i managed to come up with a list that big with just a 9 minute gameplay video. mind you, this is 9 minutes picked out for the game to be announced with, so its one of the best ubisoft has.

- turn on stealth mode with a single press of a button, and instantly take off your cool hat and putt on your hoodie hat. ohh and crouch a bit.

would it be better if he hid in a cardboard box like in MGS?

it's a game not a life similator.  things don't always have to "make sense".

i agree. but nothing about the stealth in that game made sense, nore did it appear as a good game. compare the stealth in this to Farcry's and tell me which one is better. ill save you the trouble, Farcry's stealth is a million times better.
