You know, it's funny, in 2 years we got 1 teaser clip.  But in the last few months we've gotten hours of gameplay and now they are just steadily throwing clips at us.  Not that I am complaining, I just find it funny :P

Ranking all of the Mainline Mario games:
1. Super Mario Galaxy
2. Super Mario Galaxy 2
3. Super Mario Bros 3
4. Super Mario World
5. Super Mario 64
6. Super Mario Bros

And while Super Mario Bros is 6th, it was Nintendo's masterpiece in its time. But the Mario team are so highly skilled that even the lowest ranked mainline Mario game is nothing short of amazing in its time.

Paper Mario Color Splash is available for predownload, and if you predownloaded it last night, you actually have access to play the whole game early, though new downloads have been fixed :p

Ok you and others may not like to acknowledge this but Super Mario 3D World *is* a mainline Mario game.  Also, you left out both of the Super Mario Bros 2 games (both USA and The Lost Levels).  

Otherwise, nice ranking.  I would probably switch Word and Bros 3 though.

  • finds battles to be interesting so far
  • Does not run in 60 FPS, 30 FPS with very minor drops
  • 1 save file
  • No amiibo(thank goodness)
  • Hasn't finished it yet, but thinks length should be around 30 hours, but not sure(Nintendo said 50 hours)
  • 32 levels
  • Great humor and writing
  • Likes the diversity of levels, not generic areas
  • Has off TV play and pro controller support
  • Hasn't found issues with running out of paint, paint refill is very abundant
  • Great music, some call back to past  Paper mario game music too

  • Theres a deeper plot to the game compared to SS
  • Suggests that there is original enemies (he says enemies he has never seen before), but not the case for NPC
  • The Koopalings are not the only type of bosses, there is more than them

Thats a lot of what he said but to go much indepth of some of the points, check out the video. He doesn't do any spoiler... I tried to leave out a lot of the already known info, but included some to try and clear any confusion.

AND FINALLY, REVIEW EMBARGO RELEASES ON OCTOBER 5TH AT 8AM PT..... The release day

I thought that Amiibos played a part in getting different cards, though I may be wrong?

You failed to list a very important point many don't seem to get yet:  there IS a reason to battle now.  Your hammer can be upgraded via hammer points dropped by defeated enemies.  So there is a lite version of leveling up, so *YES* there is a point to battling this time.
