From what he said, he has found no functionality. And to double check, I googled it and found nothing. Amiibo functionality seems to be one the first things Nintendo loves to announce with games, so I feel if it had it, we would know by now.

 

Yes, I couldn't find anything about it either, though I was sure that the official trailer did say something about tapping your Amiibos for special cards.. guess I remembered it wrong or mixed it up with something else

Good news, everybody!

HappyNintendoFan has posted some interesting news, today.
In an email exchange with Nintendo Netherlands - which you can check here below - something cool came out from Nintendo's side: ""Dear Mohsen, Thanks for your email. The Nintendo NX (Codename) will not be playable at First Look""

So, first, Nintendo will reveal NX but not have it playable.
Well, this pretty much says Digital Event and not Press Event.

Second, they wrote it this way "Firstlook". Which, for an email in dutch might be revealing. That and the use of capital letter.


We might not know when it's getting revealed, but it's safe to assume that it's not playable at first (press hands-on to come on a later date, i assume or even a second event ) thus, not having a reason to have a E3 type conference (Digital presentation on the way!) and that said presentation will be called Firstlook.

Good, bad?

"Firstlook", to me, seems to be the name of the event, whether it is live or pre-recorded. They wrote it's name in english... i think it's relevant.

Yeah, it's pretty much it.
Nintendo confirmed, implicitly, that there will be a second event for that purpose.

I'm really anxious to see it too!
I don't buy the idea that Emily and Eurogamer's claims are all there is to know about NX. I think there's something special about it that still hasn't come out!
