I'd want Insomniac making Ratchet & Clank games forever don't care if they're sequels or like the one releasing this year, a reboot, but don't stop the awesomness lol. I mean, sure they can mix it up with new IP inbetween so that they don't get burnt out, but after that they should make another Ratchet & Clank

Me too man. I love R&C. I also hope they never stop making Assassins Creed games. Unpopular opinion I know lol

Really depends what the new IP or sequel is of. I mean some games are fantastic so a sequel would be brilliant. Even if it doesn't live up to the original getting to explore a new part of that world is still a great experience. While with new IPs they can really go either way. There are a lot of great and a lot of terrible games that are new IPs.

As for reboots, well ideally companies wouldn't let their series go so downhill that they need a reboot in the first place

You're implying a franchise has to go downhill to get a reboot. Which makes me mad at you, cause Ratchet & Clank is getting a reboot, so you're implying Ratchet & Clank has gone downhill. So you better watch out son, cause remember... Who's knocking on your door....you never know...

I went full R&C fanboy there.

I can live with only sequels.

R & C went downhill if we look at the sales.

Not really.  R&C does fine when it comes to mainline.  The only one that didnt was Into the Nexus.  Even All 4 One did well and it wasn't a mainline at all.  Very solid sales across the board

Zelda > Sequels vs New Ip vs Reboots

depends on the game. im generally very attracted to new IP's because a lot of sequals to a franchise can get very stale and boring (like assassins creed). but id pick the next red dead redemption over anything and everything, new IP or not.

there is also the case of me wanting some devs to make a new ip and some other not to. like sucker punch, i want them to make a new infamous, while i want guerrilla games to make a new ip (which they are).

Who needs Rayman when you got Link?

Who needs Gears of War and its terrible gore when you got Link and his crossbow?

And most importantly, who needs cartoon shows when you have this masterpiece?

I think youre on to something :P  Zelda will rule the world one day!

Id love to see Sucker punch work on a new ip.  Mostly because im not a fan of InFamous though.  Solid franchise, just not for me.  Im selfish like that :P
