Really depends what the new IP or sequel is of. I mean some games are fantastic so a sequel would be brilliant. Even if it doesn't live up to the original getting to explore a new part of that world is still a great experience. While with new IPs they can really go either way. You're implying a franchise has to go downhill to get a reboot. Which makes me mad at you, cause Ratchet & Clank is getting a reboot, so you're implying Ratchet & Clank has gone downhill. So you better watch out son, cause remember... Who's knocking on your door....you never know...
