Lol, just shows how immature you are. Good Luck with that excuse...

I'm actually very immature. I find excuses for every DLC.

Yeap, especially when games are complete when released and fans want more. I can see bad DLC, but you literally complain about everything, it hurts even me :-/

You know? I won't be the one to blame if you get banned. So keep you blind support while others see the truth.

smash bros dlc characters are overpriced but at least the content is good, so he isn't 100% hypoctitical when complaining about dlc these days.

Hes absolutely right

Solution to the argument of day 1 (or shortly after) dlc because players move on? Create standalone expansions. This is also a great entry point for new players, with the additional benefit of attracting buyers to the original game.

Recent examples:
Wolfenstein The Old Blood
InFamous First Light
Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry.

Also there are less complaints when DLC isn't expensive. Why? Because gamers don't mind paying a little for good quality extra content which represents good value for money. A $50 season pass doesn't usually do that.

Yep. Melee didn't need to sell new characters as DLC to be great. It was great since day 1 for single and multiplayer sesions.

And Nintendo would have made even more money of Melee if it was possible to release DLC for it.

There's quite a big hole in your logic if you think Melee became the most succesful Smash Bros. game because it had no DLC.

Besides, I'm sure Brawl sold more anyway.

I'm pretty sure 7 million units sold on a console that has about 20 million units in the wild is more successful than a game that sold 12 million units on a console that has 100 million units in the wild.

Melee was much more popular in it's day and was more beloved... zero DLC. And I'm not saying it is beloved BECAUSE it doesn't have DLC. I'm just giving an example of a game with no DLC being more beloved than one with DLC because everyone seems to think DLC makes a game better.

That's not the truth.

No, bigger userbase doesn't mean better sales. These are games that sell to a particular crowd: Nintendo fans that usually buy every new Nintendo console. The Wii brought in a lot of new non-Nintendo fans that didn't give a shit about a fan-service game like Smash.
