What if SW Battlefront flops?

honestly, while I do think the movie will have an impact on the sales, even without it I wouldn't change my mind.

Battlefield has evolved into a giant mainstream series, when it didn't make any impact on consoles back then (and even on PC it wasn't that huge). With those series being so similar, I'm very sure that this is going to sell much closer to recent Battlefield games than the Battlefront games of the 6th gen.

4m in total would be utterly disappointing for EA, considering budget, release period and the fact that they have no other big game (except FIFA of course) coming out this year.

I would guess 6 mil+ sales across all platforms world wide. Not sure if that is enough for EA given sales expectations these days.

It'll sell well as im sure many are eager for a Starwars game this gen, along with the hype of the movie, regardless of how buggy it'll be since its EA.

At one time no COD game or GTA game had reached that either, things change and now it is one of the most hyped games of the year and its release will coincide with one of the biggest movies of the year. Things look good for Battlefront, very good indeed.

I suppose it depends on who you listen to. I've only heard bad feedback from others since it was announced. No space battles, small multiplayer, no campaign, etc.

A lot of expected content isn't there.
