I believe it was most modded, as it was easy (only software needed), but I doubt relevant piracy numbers on any console. PC has by far the highest piracy ratio. I doubt piracy was relevant for Wii.

Even some of those were not immune. Mario Galaxy 2 is below 10m and that was around the time that Wii modding became really popular.

Well, actually I'm surprised by these numbers, because XBox came late, was a completely new brand and was only a short time on market. So it is indeed somewhat surprising it still had 50% more games. How are the numbers for X360/PS3/Wii?

Well... you can believe whatever you want, won't make a difference and won't change the state of WiiU or the fate of the new console...
Untill Nintendo followers keep believing the same things the result will always be the same.
And about piracy, PSVita and X360 could be software modded (I believe PS3 also) and in Brazil the only options to buy were modded PS1 and PS2 since they weren't legally released here. So your point from piracy is basically just what you use to defend agaisnt Nintendo fans liking to buy specific games and nothing else.

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."
last gen wii decimated sales charts for most of its life, ps3 and 360 did just fine.
even if the wiiu pulled a miracle 360 and suddenly became the best selling console of all time, xbo and ps4 would be fine.
I'm pretty sure Sony and Playstation have sold the most home consoles of any other company (please correct me if I am wrong), with the PS1 and PS2 breaking 100 million and PS4 quite possibly accomplishing that feat, so why would A nintendo comeback throw them off their game?

Because as a company they're struggling. The ps division hasn't made much money compared to the wii/ds. If they make a ps3-launch mistake again, they may be unable to recover because they won't have billions to correct their mistake and help ps5 recover.

I legitimately hadn't thought about that, good input. I guess giving that insight, Sony losing significant ground to nintendo could be fairly detrimental. Let's hope they can continue to coexist then.
Of course it can...

Nobody would survive, terror would melt their minds down and they'd both commit suicide without even trying. True mass suicide, I mean, from the highest execs to the lowliest errand boys, they'd all drink cyanide flavoured Kool-Aid, Jonestown style.
