I loved the gameplay, but the story and characters sucked compared to devil may cry. It's a shame cuz it had the makings of a great franchise

"the lack of puzzles, lack of fluid combat and mid move cancels, gimped devil trigger, crappy boss fights with the exception of 2 bosses that were ripped from Suda51's Lollipop Chainsaw and Shadows of the Damned, lack of fun and creative weapons"

Don't these problems pertain to the gameplay?

I bought a WiiU specially for Bayonetta 2, but walked away a little disappointed. It was a very short game and i'm sure Bayonetta 1 was longer.

I managed to complete the game with most secret areas found and completed within 8hrs and unless you are going to go back to score hunt, there is little reason to go back to it for your average gamer.

I'm not saying it wasn't fun, I'm just saying it was a short game.

The lenght is good for an action game, and is not the kind of game that you play once.

Also on average takes a half hour longer than DmC according to the same site.

It's a good enough game, they even fixed the "problems" that fanboys listed as reasons why they wouldn't be buying it. And of course, no-one cares. If Dante had a fringe it'd sell a million.

You'll meet the absolute worst fanboys on DMC videos on Youtube, you'll never hear them talking about the infinitely superior original game or even the Kamiya-less sequel. It's the anime style of DMC 3 and 4 that most people have hard-ons for online.

Bayonetta 2 had the backing of people who never played the original Bayonetta game, on a new system and a new audience. It also received near universal critical acclaim.

Not fair to compare a game that's loved to one that no-one wanted.

If I say DmC is Garbage will I get moderated for it?

Because Bayonetta 2 was a game that had been hyped for more than 2 years.

It makes no sense to compare DmC to Bayonetta 2. DmC was already released on last gen consoles while Bayonetta 2 was a new game. That's a huge difference.

I liked new Dante. He wasn't an improvement, but it was a fun reimagining.

I think Bayonetta was advertised and hyped much more intensely. There was even a grass roots effort to get Beyo2 to 1 million sold. It had a far stronger spotlight shone on it by the media as well.
