Were you planning on getting one? Or just doing some research on it in general?

For me I have a 3DSXL so I don't have a need to upgrade, but if I didn't have a 3DS I would most likely get the new one just for the faster speeds, use of the C nub, the couple of exclusives it might get (and the 3D which I would never use).

Not a New 3DS exclusive. I'd imagine it will probably run better on the newer hardware, though.

OT: I'm pretty sure at least one or two big N3DS exclusives will be announced at E3.

Only Xenoblade so far and I doubt much else will come.

But the hardware works better. Especially the C-Stick does wonders in Majoras Mask and Monster Hunter.

Monster Hunter has also better Textures on New 3DS, other games might also be enhanced.

I bought one when it came out, having never owned a Nintendo console since the GBA and I've enjoyed it so far

Having said that, I did slip back to P4G and now P3P, but there is a really nice jRPG backlog to dig in to

So far I've only got Professor Layton Azran (finished), Pokemon Y and LoZ A Link Between Worlds (never played a Zelda game!!!!!)

Bravely Default, Xenoblade, Kingdom Hearts 3D and Fire Emblem are probably next on my list.

If there were one thing to ask for, it would be better battery life, especially in sleep mode. Just by comparison with my brother and his not new 3DS, it doesn't really seem to be improved. The 3D also does nothing for me, it just seems to look blurry for me, but that may be something wrong with me. I'm not a huge 3D fan in general and only really see films in IMAX 3D, so the 3D switch is basically locked in the off position.

You know that for all 3ds models that while they're in sleep mode their wi-fi is constantly on the lookout for other systems around it to street pass with, it drains the holy heck outta the battery I find. If you turn off the wi-fi before closing the system into sleep mode it'll last a couple of weeks before it starts to flash red, with wi-fi on the 3ds-xl I have lasts at best 4-5 days before it dies in sleep.

I plan on getting one, but I just don't feel it's necessary for me right now. I already own 3 3DS', but I want more exclusives to justify the purchase.

I'm guessing we'll get quite a few more Wii and GC ports, with a couple of those announced at E3.



It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

  •  Twilight Princess (hopefully not!)
  •  Sunshine (hopefully yes!)
  •  Metroid Prime
  •  Mario Galaxy (though I think this will release in the next system).
